Rules & Requirements

Here the rules and requirements for membership in the Long Patrol.
  • First and most importantly: follow the rules of the MUCK, especially on the chat. Remain G-rated at all times. If you wish to say things of a nature inappropriate to a G-rating, please keep these to pages and whispers, or private conversations. The reason? Anything that you do on the Long Patrol chat or in our region reflects badly upon the group as a whole. Thus, keep things of an inappropriate nature to private conversations, or, preferably, not on the MUCK at all.
  • There is a connection requirement of at least two hours a week.
  • If your character is not connected for more than a month, you will be removed from the group.
  • Without role play, the group is merely an OOC forum. Thus, RP is mandatory and a log policy does exist. It is subject to change, and for the most updated version, I would suggest contacting an officer on-MUCK. However, at the current time, the requirement is one log posted to the site for every week. Failure to post a log for two weeks in a row will result in removal from the group.
  • Long Patrol characters are not to leave the Salamandastron/Shore area unless on a larger patrol mission, due to the IC constraints of distance (i.e., no strolls to Redwall Abbey, please). However, characters are free to roam the Sala/Shore area, on patrol or otherwise.
  • All Long Patrol members must be of the hare species. However, there is a sub-group of creatures that live in the mountain: the residents. These can be non-hare in species, such as the Badger Lord's family, characters such as the cooks, and so on. To see a more extensive listing of the possibilities for non-hares, check the members page.
