Long Patrol Members
The Long Patrol is an entire community of characters, and there are various roles that an individual can play within the mountain of Salamandastron. Thus, our members vary in their ranks and positions. The following is a (relatively) current list of our members.
Military:
Colonels:
These are the OOC heads of the Long Patrol, as well as the highest-ranking officers ICly, each heading their own division.

Badger Lord:
The Badger Lord is the titular head of the Long Patrol, ICly in control of the Long Patrol but OOCly having about the same leaderly influence as a Colonel.
Majors:
These are leaders who rank slightly lower than Colonels, both OOCly and ICly. They are dependable, both ICly and OOCly, and take up quite a bit of responsibility in the running of the group. Each heads their own patrol.

Lieutenants:
These members are assistants to the Majors. There is one in each patrol, and they assist in the leading and organizing of their particular patrol. They have no OOC rank.

Fighters:
These are the common soldiers of the Long Patrol and are led by their superior officers in battle as well as during peace time. This is our largest group.

Runners:
These are the fastest and most agile hares in the Long Patrol. They deliver messages to and from Sala, and help with communications during battles. They hold the same rank as do fighters.
Healers:
The healers are equal in rank to both the fighters and the runners. They are the medics of the group, caring for the sick and injured of the Long Patrol. They are a vital part.
Recruits:
These are future members of the Long Patrol, but they are not dibbuns. These are the hares of the mountain still training up in order to join the ranks of the fighters, healers, and runners.

These are the legends of the LP. In other words, the old and the broken down.

Resident Healer:
These are creatures that, though not part of the Long Patrol itself, help out by serving as healers within the mountain.

Librarian:
This is the creature that cares for the library of Salamandastron, and is also the recorder of the Long Patrol's history.
Cooks:
These are those creatures that prepare the magnificent food that the Long Patrol hares consume by the ton!

Barkeep:
These creatures have the double task of providing - and keeping the rest of the patrol in - good spirits.
Caretakers:
These are those creatures that care for and watch over the Long Patrol's youth.

Teachers:
These are those creatures that educate the youth of the Long Patrol, in the basics of reading, writing, mathematics, healing, and those more specialized skills required of a potential Long Patrol hare.
Dibbuns:
These are the future officers, fighters, runners, and healers of the Long Patrol. Though they are still too young to take on such responsibilities, they are the next generation of Patrollers.
