At 4 seasons old, Darklett was not about to end his life for honor.
So, that's how he came to run with the vermin. More interestingly, though, is how they treated him as an equal after only a short time. Darklett had actually found a family he belonged to-- they accepted him as he was, and raised him, taught him their trade, however dishonorable, gave him protection, food, shelter, new clothing... They treated him more like a collective father than his biological one ever did. So he adapted to be like them, and enjoyed the life of a band robber.
That's the story. ^_^
