*Just a quick note for the unknowing* ‘Unken was Audri’s confidant…a stuffed hare she had since coming to the mountain.
It’s a bright, sunny day on the Eastern sea, the looming form of The Black Scabber cutting through the greenish waters as father wind fills the ships billowing sails with his most precious gift. Atop the deck, hiding in a large coil of rope sits the heroine of this tale, a little squirrel babe named Audri. In her lap rests the most unlikely of things on a pirate ship; a stuffed toy hare. Sitting on her stubby legs, Audri lifts her head just enough to be peeking over the rope coil to make sure the coast was clear. Seeing no rats, she plops down with a giggle, withdrawing an oakcake. “Nows, ‘unken ya’s gots to stay hidden or the ratters get ya.” She murmurs quietly to her companion, breaking the treat in two before handing over a half to the one eyed doll. “Daddy’s gots us treats. ‘n don’t eatum so fast. Gots ta make it wast ya siwwy ‘are.” Audri gives him a glance, reaching out to pat his head with a smile. “Tis good ya were saved. Shouldn’t been fightin’ so many ratters though. ‘inny!” ‘unken, who has finished his half, gives a simply nod which is really just his head lolling to one side. XD Grinning, she gives her confidant a quick snug before, climbing out of her hiding spot with him to go find an adventure.
