Canon Region Spreadsheet

The following is a list of regions that are canon, or regions featured in the books, in other words. These regions are the active canon regions, for the most part, and their webpage can likely be found on the website. The region is paired with its builder, the name you should find when you type ex here, and a character who owns the builder, and may be online more often.

Directions

The following is a list of the above regions, with directions via the Portals. Of course, each of these regions can be accessed without the use of Portals, and do remember to be realistic when using the Portals. By looking at the exit inside the portal room, you can see about how much IC time it should take to reach your destination.

Builder Responsibility

The responsibilities of owning a canon region are vast. Primarily, you are responsible to maintain the region, and make sure it is not out of date or un-canon. The books are a great resource, if you're unsure how the region is, canon-wise. In fact, an owner should definitely be familiar with them.

On that note, it is important to emphasize that the canon regions are just that: canon. They are part of the MU, and should not be treated as your personal playground, just because you happen to own them. If there is a failure to maintain the region properly, you will lose the region. And with that, the builder. The builder is part of the MU, too, hence why passwords should not be shared and there is a great level of responsibility involved. For example, the current AbbeyBuilder has been passed through many paws, and past owners of the AbbeyBuilder are not allowed to access the account. It is important to stress that the builder belongs to the region, which belongs to the MU, not any individual player. It is a privilege to be in charge of a canon region, not a right.
