Does the Abbey take in any sort of visitor, or does it turn away suitably verminous ones? I've always wondered what they do with any badbeasts that come knocking for shelter in the wintertime.

I believe in the books there were different reactions. Usually the Abbot would ask them for a pledge of non-violence, and in different books others would demand more stringent precautions be taken. Not that this really answers your question. :P

ok my char been a novice of redwall for a while hear is the deal redwall on the muck now has guards at the gakes and along the walls any vermin or any beast for that matter must drop off all weapons before going in icly so yes vermin are allow in the abbey
