I have just joined this muck and here's the application for the Long Patrol for my character:

• Aideen Swiftfoot

• 10 seasons

• Hare

• Runner

• Aideen was born along the edges of Northern Mossflower. Her parents were killed in a vermin raid one day when she was 5 seasons old, Aideen had been out gathering food for dinner and had heard the commotion coming from her home where she had been gathering dandelions. She had desperately wanted to help rescue her parents but common sense told her that she wouldn’t have been able to fight off the vermin raid on her own, so she had hid until the vermin had disappeared from her home. After burring her parents, she has harbored a hatred of vermin ever since and upon hearing the stories of the Long Patrol when she was young, Aideen had decided to travel to Salamandastron to join and become a runner in order to help assist others.

• Aideen is rather friendly towards those that she has considered friends. She loves to help others and gladly goes out of her way to help them. Aideen wears a traveling cloak and has a dagger on a belt that she carries along with a staff. Though she hates vermin she does not want to kill unnecessarily unless she has no other choice. Aideen love to carve and when she has a rare chance, to read. One of her pet peeves is if you’re traveling with her to not ask her ‘are we there yet?’ which could get easily on her nerves. Her habits include sleeping in late, and likes to have her weapons near by for precaution.

OOC Information

• I’ve only discovered mucking only two weeks ago and have only joined one other muck besides Redwall.

• I’ve only had this character for about one day.

• I am a freshman in college and my finals are coming up soon so I am not sure if I will be able to log on every week. But getting on once a week after finals shouldn't be a problem.

•Roleplay

Below, you will see one standard role play scenario and one battle scenario, to which you will respond with one pose each.

• Scenario: Aideen looks at the chore that has been assigned to her: Aideen=repairing fighter uniforms. Glancing around she sees the pile of uniforms that needs to be repaired. She takes a look out the window, it sure is a nice day, she thinks wistfully. “Well I might as well get started and as soon as I am finished I can enjoy the rest of the day so stop procrastinating. You’ve wanted to join the Long Patrol so you might as well get used to this.” She picks up a uniform that has a ripped hole in its sleeve and fingers the edges of the hole, now how many times have I done this before? Aideen grins thinking back to all of those times she had to patch up her cloak on her travels. She sits down on a stool, and begins to hum a folk song, while in order to help make the time go by faster as she beings to repair the ripped hole.

• Battle Scenario: Aideen is walking along the beaches that are near Salamandastron and is enjoying her stroll since she is off duty at the moment. She scans the dunes not noticing anything out of order but puts her right hand to rest on her dagger to make sure that its attached to her belt, out of habit. You never can be to sure. Aideen smiles grimily at the unlucky times she has been attacked by vermin, her hand gripping the dagger tightly. Upon hearing the sound of a weapon being drawn, Aideen pulls out the dagger in a defense position and turns around to block the blade that was aimed for her shoulder. She looks into the face of a surprised searat, and immediately knocks the vermin’s blade from his hands, in which it clatters to the sand. Placing the blade at the surprise vermin’s throat, Aideen says, “I could kill you right were you stand, but luckily for you I don’t want to kill unnecessarily.” Using the end of her dagger she knocks the searat unconscious and leaves him where he is. Picking up the searats weapon which is rusted from previous killings she tosses it into the ocean to make sure that the weapon doesn’t do anymore harm to any other creature. Aideen places the dagger back into her belt and starts to run back to Salamandastron to inform her commander that there is searat activity among the dunes.

I am a female Hare

Any style of a fighter.

Asphodel was born into slavery somewheres on the ocean. My family was hung after i was born because the captain of the ship she was on said they were getting too old and weak to row. She escaped with the others when one of the made a dagger and killed the one in charge of them. While everyone was breaking out of the chains thanks to one who was not weak and could brak them with the dagger. As they passed through the armoury Asphodel grabbed the items she has today. She keeps them to destroy the evil and save the good. She wants to join the LP so that she can help rid the world of violence.

Hobbies: Having fun, Killing vermin when need be, Seeing more and more life events, saving others when they cry for help even if they are of the vermin species seeing as they are not all bad.

I have been here for one year and one month.

I created this character on the 26th.

Rules and loggings, I have school, a job, and i have video gam contests, and part of a night club.

Nonbattle scenario: Asphodel is staring at the ceiling momenterily then she goes back to sweeping wondering why it is so dirty, she is obviously tired and bored but she is doing what she can to help out, as she finishes up she sits against a wall to take a break.

IC means In Character, IC is sort of like, the time age and the character, ic is not what you do it is what the character does in a certian age of time that is different or the same as the one that we as humans ourselves are in. ooc out of character means our life right now, not what is happening in the virtual reality world but the world that is full of life.

The room-page command is an ooc of character dialogue, the say command is an ic dialogue.

A twink is something that you do without another player(s) permission.

Asphodel grabs her short swords and deflects the attack swiftly, she attempts to give him a good kick to the stomach, as she comes down to her footpaws again she has her short swords away and she draws a dagger, with lighting speed it has pierced the footpaw of her opponent and she removes it then runs off.

IC name. Tilly Samins Sarah Forth-Pilkington Theta, otherwise known as Wanderer.

IC age. Youngish Adult. Never ask a lady her age! She's not sure herself anyway, never counted, but she thinks she's 13 seasons or younger at least.

An equally brief synopsis of your character's personality. Eccentric often. Can be rather clever when she needs to be and loves to try new things with enthusiasm. Absolutely hates unnecessary cruelty, discrimination and cowardice in a beast.

Some history. She named herself Wanderer. A long time ago now. When she first left her home and her family, to be fair nearly still a dibbun then, Tilly decided to name herself a name that suited her. Her home was a rather pleasant place deep in the forests of Mossflower, a rocky little plateau, with a fair bit of grassland, surrounded by the forests. Her family was very loving, yet Wanderer still left them, a young haremaid eager to explore. She had been gone for a while when the Earthquake struck and decided to return home to see how everything was. Yet tradgedy had befallen her home. The Earthquake had not done much damage, yet there was no life left there, even the plant life around was dead. The tectonic activity had opened cracks deep into the Earth, causing an area of rising noxious gases, though of course, Wanderer does not know this explanation. She merely knows that something bad came out of the ground where her home was after the Earthquake, and that it's still there because she began to feel ill while taking her final visit. Leaving due to the overwhelming unhealthy feeling and the pain of grief and loss at the poison of her kin, Wanderer vowed that she could not return there again; one it was painful emotionally, and two, she knows that whatever the thing is (the gas) will kill beasts who stay too long. So Wanderer set out again, teaching herself skills like healing to the best she could and is always keen to add to her knowledge of this. She finally decided to seek out the mountain she'd heard about since as long as she could remember, and the legendary long patrol that served there.

"Tsk, tsk, I've travelled right across mountains, lakes and even a swamp, avoided toads, hungry birds and that eel and now I'm stuck sewing uniforms... For other people!" Still, the haremaid gets on with the job quite efficiently.

Battle Scenario: You are on the shores of Salamandastron, walking amongst the dunes. All of a sudden, a searat pops out from behind one and charges at you, his blade slicing down at your shoulder. Pose as your character would behave in such a situation. Speech is not necessary, but if you wish to include it, feel free. -Wanderer is suprised to see the rat, but then again, a traveller's life did teach her to expect unexpected instances to occur, and so her mind is quite quick to respond, an adrenaline rush allowing her to dodge her attacker, while she attempts to trip him, unable to resist quipping "Hello there, need to work on your footwork, old chap."

Abdallah Chris Jergin

Abdallah Jergin was born to the parents of Maddy and Samsion Jergin. Which they abandoned on a house, though they didn't know they just abandoned their son to an evil home. The reason for the scar is his weasel parents abused him. The reason he is so fit is because he had to work to much. He cooked for his weasel parents every night. He also learned how to brew ale and other things.

His personality is not normal he is usually scared. The thing that set him off is when people yell and scream. The thing he likes to do is making drinks. The thing about him is he looks scary but has a soft heart.

I have been on the muck for a year now.

I have only been with this character for a little while.

No issues about the rules I understand that the site is G rated.

Abdallah is standing sweeping around the bar, as he does he is singing a song from which he knows from a long time ago. He sweeps the pile into a peice of parchment and throws it away.

Abdallah growls and looks at him through his right eye. Grabbing his staff he wacks the rat on the head nocking him out. Abdallah grabs his arm and takes the rat and puts him somewhere.

IC is when your character says something or does something in character.

OOC is when you say something to someone that doesn't half to do with role play.

A twink is when you do something to someone and they don't give you promision to.

She had to come here because she had to bring a small young hare to his father and doesn't want to leave.

Caretaker

Echo is a wise old badger. Though she has the strength of a warrior. She was born of the mum and da John and Ann Whit. She has been the caretaker of little Dajuan since his mother died and since he was a baby. She traveled here for the little and his father to be met again. She usually can't get her hands on the little dibbun, since she is old.

Echo's personality is part warrior and part caregiver. The thing she doesn't like the most is when someone touches her or touches the dibbuns she watches.

She snatches the blade with both paws and brakes it in half. She then snatches the searat up as the searat screeches as he is squeezed. Echo squeezes him till he goes limp she then clomps him on the head with her staff and toss's him somewhere.

Dajuan Abdallah Jergin

Dajuan was born to the parents of Abdallah and Eileen Jergin. He has traveled with his mother to Salamandastron. Dajuan and his mother have been in battle sadly, that is how he has the scar on his face. He has not seen his father since he was a baby. His father is why they traveled there.

The young hare has the personality of quite never says much he is a shy one if he doesn't know you. He does not like when someone takes something from him like his toy sword or his food. The thing he likes to do is play and eat.

Eileen Maveric now Jergin was born to the parents of, Emily Maline Maveric, and Christopher Patrick Xavier Maveric. She has travaled to Salamandastron with her son and battled countless enemies for her son's safety. She use's many different things for her safety manly her staff.

She has the personality of a butterfly not speaking usually, the thing that makes her ticks is when someone trys to do something to her, her pet peeves she doesn't use herself, her hobbies involves many things she loves to cook.

I have been on the muck a year and one month.

Battle Scenario: You are on the shores of Salamandastron, walking amongst the dunes. All of a sudden, a searat pops out from behind one and charges at you, his blade slicing down at your shoulder. Eileen's eye's burn with envy as she brings up her staff, she trips the rat and hurts him nocking him out, and then keeps hurting him till he limp, she then takes him and toss's him far from the mountain.

IC Full Name: Tranbuck Minty Harlequin

IC Age: 9 Seasons (18 years)

IC Position Applied for: Fighter

Brief History: Tranbuck has no recollection of his childhood before his family was slaughtered by vermin when he was five seasons old. Ever since then, he has been searching for the ferret who tortured his mother and father before he killed him. Tranbuck was also tortured and left for dead. He has decided to forget his former life and join the Long Patrol.

Personality: Tranbuck is a typical hare; fierce in a fight and equally, if not more, fierce at a feast. He can get very emotional, and hates being called a rabbit. He is an outstanding archer and fencer, but a terrible singer.

OOC Information:

I have been on this MUCK for only a few months, but I have played MUCKs for about two years.

I have only had this character for a day.

Mostly, I agree with the rules, but I may not be able to get in weekly logs because of school and such.

Roleplay:

1. Tranbuck looks longingly out the window of the corridor he has been assigned to sweep. Bloody confounded colonels makin me do this binkin sweepin'. This work is fer th' recruits an’ th’ leverets an’ the… Er… The… Well… If the want this work done, why can’t they jolly well do it themselves?’ He mumbles to himself under his breath.
2. Tranbuck is walking down the shoreline, peacefully enjoying his free time, when a searat brandishing a small sword jumps out from behind a dune and swings the sword toward Tranbuck. Tranbuck jumps to the ground, avoiding a fatal blow, but getting slashed painfully across his arm. He then kicks out at the searat with his powerful hind legs.

Runigan 10 seasons Hare Major He had a happy life for the most part untill he was about six seasons old when his parents were murdered. He was forced to live on his own from then on out. He spent the next 3 seasons of his life living alone, most of the time he praticed his fighting skills so that when he had the chance he would take revenge on the murderous band of rodents that killed his parents. When he turned 9 seasons old he started tracking the rodents. It took the better part of the season to find them, but when he did he took out all of his rage on the murderous vermin. By sunlight the next day the vermin were dead, and he was in bad shape. He was found by a wandering traveler who healed his wounds got him back into shape. From the on he vowed to find a way to get rid of all the vile creatures in the world, by joining the Long Patrol. He is a quiet, independent, and solitary being. Spending the later few seaons of his life alone with no one to talk to he grew very closed to the outside world. He is very strong, and will not hesitate to harm you if you are a threat. When he has free time he pratices combat and survival skills. The one thing he dislikes is any one who thinks the are better than any one else, like a supreme being. Loral was born to a big family, even for hares. Her eldest sister once was in the longpatrol, and she idolized her, so as soon as she grew old enough to travel alone, she embarked on the journey to salamandastron. She was born on a small cottage up north, but at an early age moved to southsward, then to a spot just north of redwall abbey four seasons later.

Loral is secretly a boxing-o-phile. She can't get nough of it, but she is not competitive, especially when it comes to other hares. And because she thinks that for her to like boxing is out of character, she never mentions it. She tries to be girly, but at heart she's a tomboy. The only thing that annoys her is cleaning, but she pretends to love it anyway.

Character Information - Layla Feyowen - 10 Seasons - Hare - Healer, Barmaid, or Teacher, whichever is needed the most. - Layla Feyowen has never known who her family was. She was abandoned and found on the Western Shore before she was even a season old. Being an orphan, she spent most of her life being passed from household to household, never getting the chance to really bond with anyone who took after her. When she was 9 seasons she decided to leave and start a life of her own. Layla never lets her past get to her. Granted, she does believe it has shaped her into the caring hare that she is, she doesn't let it get her down. - Layla enjoys dancing, reading, writing and helping other people. She believes that she was meant to help people, in whatever way she can. She doesn't like talking about her past, and she absolutely HATES when hares chew with their mouths open.

OOC Information - This is my third character on the Muck, but I can't really pinpoint an actual time period where I started, but I know it was more than 2 years ago. -I only created Layla's actual character today, but I've been using her in RPs for months in order to build up her history. -I'm starting college in a few days, and I maybe too swamped with school work to rp, but I will give fair notice as to when those times will be.

Roleplay -Humming slightly to herself, Layla swiftly passes the needle and thread through the fabric in her paws. She carefully cuts the thread and holds the runner uniform away from her body. A frown creeps across her face as her usually perky ears fall flat against her head. "I knew that wasn't straight." She grabs a stitch cutter and begins to undo her stitching. Unfortunately, she's too busy humming and watching the hares around her to pay attention to what she's doing. The stitch cutter goes straight through the fabric, making an even bigger hole, and into her paw. Layla drops the uniform and stitch cutter and begins to suck on her paw. "Great. I better not have gotten any blood on that!" She picks up the uniform and shuffles off the infirmary.

• With a quick scream, Layla ducks quickly and removes her dagger from her belt. She attempts to dodge the searat's blade but only manages to get a cut across her face. Layla blindly slashes her dagger at her attacker, hoping that she at least wounded him. "Gods above!" She drops down to the ground and rolls down the dune and makes a run for the mountain, not even daring to glance behind her at the searat that is undoubtedly right behind her.

Out of character is when you are speaking as yourself, and not as your character. -A room-page is when you are IC but wish to say something OOC. To say something is to talk when completely OOC. - Twinking is when you do the action for another character without their permission. An example would be: "Layla picked up the plate and threw it at him, hitting him in the head." While you are allowed to start the action, it is up to the other character what the outcome is.

name: Shalia age: 15 seasons I am a haremaid Wish to be Lieuenant, though if not possible fighter is ok. history: She was brought up like a princess and was pampered, until her parents went missing one day. They are suspected to be dead, though Shalia firmly believes that they are not. She risked her life one day when sea rats invaded her home, and all that is left of the little haremaid who always had her own way is determination to find her parents, get rid of vermins, and her saber. personality: She is a grave one, never to talk except when is it necessary. Sometimes she is found laughing, but she soon stops if she realizes that she was. She guards her saber like her own body, for it is the only thing that is left to treasure her parent's memory.

I've been on the muck for a month. I've had this character for a week. I am Korean, which means I can't appear in public that often(thanks to the time gap) and that means that it will be hard for me to post a log- can it be one log per 3 weeks?

roleplay-

scenario: Shalia wipes the sweat off her forehead, muttering darkly, "River rats are vermin- why won't they let me dealwith them?" She continues on mopping the corridor, still muttering,"A bloomin week's work pushed intomy hands because of that,wot!" She sits down, and looks at the end of the corridor. She sits there,thinking about the past, when she still had parents to encourage her when she was tired.

battle scenario: Shalia jumps nimbly aside, surprised by the ambush. She whips her saber out, and strikes out at the searat. She jeers, "Not good for a blooming face-to-face combat, are you, scum?"

Basic muckcommands and definitions-

ic is what is done by your character in the world. ooc is what is done by you, not the character. the room-page is the message going on and about through people,not characters. The say command concerns the character, which is in the world. Twink is what happens when someone does something to a character without permission. ex) killing another character.

name: Shalia age: 15 seasons I am a haremaid Wish to be Lieuenant, though if not possible fighter is ok. history: She was brought up like a princess and was pampered, until her parents went missing one day. They are suspected to be dead, though Shalia firmly believes that they are not. She risked her life one day when sea rats invaded her home, and all that is left of the little haremaid who always had her own way is determination to find her parents, get rid of vermins, and her saber. personality: She is a grave one, never to talk except when is it necessary. Sometimes she is found laughing, but she soon stops if she realizes that she was. She guards her saber like her own body, for it is the only thing that is left to treasure her parent's memory.

Squirrel and Mouse

Non-Military

MoonRose- She was born in Redwall abbey seasons befor her younger brother Mark. Her parents died when she was around 9.5 seasons old leaving her with the younger one. When she travels she does attract a lot of attention from other squirrels but her stare is a notice enough to tell them to BACK OFF. She has great sewing and cleaning skill because of her brother rips and stains his cloths all the time. She hopes that she will be exepted into Salamandastron and can settle down instead of traveling around all the time.

Moonrose is usually annoyed when people call her by her full name for she prefers just being called Rose. Her hobbies are carving figurines out of wood and climbing in Mossflower.

Ive had MoonRose for about 2 days and Mark for almost a week now

Mondays ive got school and football practice from 8:00-4:30. Tuesday thru Thursday school and practice from 8:00-5:00 friday school from 8:00 to 3:00 free on weekends.

Roleplay

Rose looks at the piles of dishes that are staked high next to the large sink. "Why did i get choosen for dishes, these hares eat too much" she mumbles to herself dunking a dish into the warm water. She looks over to her sleeping little brother in the corner as she scrubs a plate clean of honey. She finishes the first pile then mindlessly starts to work at the next pile in her reach. Looking over at the clock she thinks to herself "Over an hour in and not even half way thru." Stretching back from the long work she almosts nocks over a pile of clean dishes and falls to the ground. Getting up she rubs her eyes "At least im almost done." she thinks to herself wanting to go to bed and rest. Finally she finishes and looks proudly at the clean dishes staked high on the counter. She cautiosly picks up the sleeping mouse from the raags where he lay carefull not to wake him and walks out into the hallway to go to sleep.

A room-page is asking of saying something to the other people in the room not their characters. The say command is used to type out what your character Himself/herself is acually saying.

IC Information

IC name: Rebel. IC age: Adult. IC Species: Hare! Position: I would love to be a fighter, please. History: Rebel is a relative outsider, when it comes to the Mossflower region. Born farther south, the rockhare is a born wanderer with a distinct taste for adventure. Which brought Rebel from a relatively stable environment, of no real distinction or absurdity, with a mother and a father and a pair of sisters, to Mossflower, alone and carefree. This journey took several seasons, so the rockhare who has stumbled across Ol' Sala is not quite the young buck who departed from the south. What transpired in those seasons, Rebel is sure to be willing enough to impart, given the chance to spin his tale. Personality: Well, Rebel is, as aforementioned, victim to wanderlust and driven by the desire for something more than the mundane. He can be something of a rabble-rouser, but is more inclined to general comraderie and jest. His outward confidence, though, should not be mistaken for undue pride. The rockhare loves a good story swap, but has a distate for boasting.

OOC Information

Duration on MUCK: Many, many years. Duration as Rebel: Very short, really. A fresh idea, which called for a fresh character. Special Circumstances: None.

Roleplay

Leaning heavily against the mop, Rebel surveys his forthcoming task. The kitchen's floor was far from a mess, but the rockhare isn't about to protest menial labor, not after just arriving. "Put you right to work though, don't they..." Rebel murmurs, relegating his weight from the mop in order to heft the implement and plop it down into its appropriate bucket. Sloshing quite absently, the hare continues to take in the build and layout of Salamandastron's kitchen. Then, deftly, the buck hoists the mop clear of the bucket, spins it once, and lands the soppy end on the flooring. "Could consider this forced enslavement, really. No way to entice a naive and bright-eyed buck into a lifetime of service," Rebel continues to prattle on, all alone in the kitchen and quite bemused. Merely filling the silence with his own light-hearted rantings. "Welcome to the Patrol, grab a mop. Honestly, you think they'd throw a pretty doe or a nice spread at a bloke, first..."

"Well, - " Rebel's initial response is interrupted by a grunt, as the rockhare is forces to lower his shoulder and spin away. For any other creature, this would be quite a feat on the sandy shore, but hares possess broad footpaws for just this occurence. When a rat jumps out at you with a sword, that is. " - Generally, I like to introduce myself, before I try and off a passing traveler. Because chances are, you're not going to succeed, and later when they're back with their buddies..." Rebel ducks beneath another vicious swipe of rat-sword, before leveling his javelin in both paws and thrusting the horizontal length of polished wood forward, into the rat's stomach. "... they can tell the story of how they were jumped by a ratty fellow, and they can include the name." The rat makes a soung that can only be described as a blaaaargh, before the hare spins his javelin and thrusts the blunt end beneath the villain's jaw. "My name is Rebel. Now when you wake up, you can tell your ratty fellows that." And with that, the rat's eyes roll back, and the ratty old chap topples.
