Can I suggest that you start off with something smaller than a muck-wide weather problem? How about... a storm. Or lightning that strikes in Mossflower. Something that has a given end to strive towards. If we start out saying "global warming" does this, we don't really have much to do about it. Live and work through it, but not solve it. Something that has a goal is better than something without one.

Starting off small is good yet one cannot solve weather problems. One just has to live through it. But anyways, perhaps some flash flooding? Or a very long storm? That could prove to be interesting.....
