How bout a big play in the Abbey? Perhaps retell the story of Martin the Warrior /but/ have the adults be Cluny's Band and the dibbuns be the good guys :) It may be a fun way of getting more people into the Abbey and have lots of fun!

How about a nasty heatwave hitting the area? Possible chance of fires too most likely, perhaps a drought....people fighting over water, ect. :0) Interesting conflict.

How about an early freeze! I mean /really/ early. Like in Late September. Imagine it: In the redwall area there would be no fall harvest, no fall activities, etc.; a bit north, in the compass rose/broadstream area there would be an even earlier freeze, in like very late august, there would be a thousand chances for great rp; now, picture the northlands. They'd freeze MUCH earlier, being cold already, in like mid-july. Things woud barely have a chance to get over the winter there, there would be hunger, starvation, you name it. It would be a HUMONGOUS MEGA-PLOT! It would sweep the redwall world. of course, in southsward, it wouldn't freeze till about late, late october. Still, it would be pretty early for them.

Droughts and freezes, and in the same year.

It would definitely be ... interesting.

If we're going to do another round of "beast vs. nature" be sure that there's a plan to show a pinprick of light that eventually becomes the end of the tunnel. That will help avoid angst.

Cold! Cold would be a little more bareable due to fur, which would make winter a little more bareable than summer. Also, Winter is when food is already naturally scarce, so it would stir up even more rp, such as fighting over canteens, sacks of berries, etc. (Posted by rockfire at 2005-05-13)

There's a lot of activity around the Black Gull. Whether outside in the Dirt Road (which I'm encouraging) or inside, there are a good number of people there.

Could something get stolen? I don't know if stealing is the best RP-starter, but something to get a large group of people interacting quickly. With stealing I can see the entire Ruingate group, the tavern regulars, newcomers, and the odd beasts (like my character) who hang around outside a lot.

This isn't a fully formed idea, and would need some planning with those, mainly Vie, in charge of the tavern OOCly, and if something gets planned, notifying the people ICly very active. (Merdez comes to mind.)

With the warmer weather coming in, a large band of reptilian and amphibious beasts begin to move northwards from Southward, causing mayhem and chaos, tormenting all in their path of destruction. Pretty much frogs, toads, lizards and monitor lizards banding together to try and take over Mossflower....

A large fire is started by some vermin and gets out of hand, spreading throughout much of the woodlands, destroying homes and food supplies of the beasts living within them....

A small band go out in search of the Sword of Martin. Perhaps they find it, perhaps not. Could make for a good TP or MP at that. Just a idea...
