Repairing Redwall

I had someone approach me, wanting to help with the gates. According to him, the otters of Camp Willow are making them. I plan on giving them a little longer, to see if they are.

Apart from that, structurally the only other big thing is the bell tower, and naturally that's going to take a while to rebuild.

As far as working, I'm seeing a great many of the Abbey regulars RPing doing chores, cooking, cleaning, etc. An Abbey takes a great deal of work just to keep running, let alone to fix up.

The short and simple answer, really, is that things are taking time because that's far more realistic. I could, alt whore that I am, make a bunch of alts and zombies to come in and magically repair everything. I could take Abbeybuilder and change all the descs to reflect a sudden, perfect and structurally sound Abbey. But then Redwall would be chastised for being unrealistic in it's repairs, instead of being chastised for taking time with them, as it is now.
