What do you wish someone would make happen?

You think the Abbey should be attacked again? Would it be amusing for a group of slavers to catch a group of under-cover hares from Salamandastron?

You want it? Ask for it! And comment on the suggestions of others. The discussions here should eventually reflect within the MU's play.

Lighten Up!!

Posted by: Josiah at 2005-03-03

A friend of mine on the muck recently made the comment how she finds little fun in RPing at Redwall anymore which, honestly, is for me a sad thing to hear. The reason for her loss of enthusiasm? Well, nobody (at least how my friend sees it) seems to like the idea of RPing a happy character. Of what she has seen (and I agree now that she mentions it), many of the RPs at the Abbey tend to be filled with pity parties and tension.

I do know of a couple, but I think it's safe to say that there are not many instances in the books where there was a prolonged gloom in the Abbey. I know how on the muck, bad stuff has happened to the Abbey in the past, some really bad stuff in fact. And, from that perspective, I suppose people have a right to be mopey as my friend put it, whether it's over the Abbey's condition or in response to their characters' personal woes and/or grudges.

But perhaps this notion has been carried on longer than necessary. If my friend (who is a long-time player on the muck) is becoming disillusioned about RP at Redwall, I highly doubt it leaves any better of an impression to the new players of the muck. Plus, how are we supposed to expect the Abbey to be restored to what it once was, when this kind of angst and pessimism seems to prevail?

I say it's time that the beasts of the Abbey (myself included) lighten up, and ICly have something to be happy or optimistic about for a change. You don't get any new songs by playing the same record over and over again. You want good and happy things to happen for Redwall? Then play the part!

Redwall Meals

Posted by: Toni at 2005-03-04

In the Redwall books, one of the facts that gets repeated OVER and OVER again is how wonderful Redwall's food is. I know we're just finishing the winter and there's less choice, but I still rarely see any form of food RP.

Antonia is turning herself into a Cook, though RPing with her in the kitchen is hilarious. I'm going to try and start being online around 5:30/6 MUCK every evening, so that there could be a definite dinnertime. I think it'd be a great place to freely RP with everyone in sight, and perhaps a reason to draw in new guests at the abbey as well (we're having fewer and fewer of those, it seems).

Hope to see you there!

COLLINSEL CITY

Posted by: Shiloh at 2005-03-26

As in requests before this, there have been the urges to get Collinsel City back into a fully functioning group. Though it seems that no steps have been taken to reach this goal, and I am willing to take the steps forward and try and make the city of collinsel a great city...again. I am asking now, that if Vaticus, would possibly hand the power of controlling collinsel over, so that we can reinstate it to its former glory, we can work together to get this job done. I am asking now for your public support, to possibly influence his descision on handing over the power of the city. Also, if you are interested, or would like to contribute to making this dream of the MUCK come true, please contact me outside Yellowjacket_32@hotmail.com, or in the muck by talking to me on Shiloh.

2005 Summer Faire

Posted by: Emryn at 2005-04-08

There should be an annual Summer Faire I think. And I think someone should set up a page #mail list for it that allows them to send mass invitations to all muck characters. It would be a good to start something like that. It would need to Start near the end of July and end near the middle of september to allow time for the entire muck to be there. A staff for it should be developed and be on hand at all times. It may have to be a large staff to accomodate everybody's Schedule.
