Whoa, whoa, whoa. If we're going to get picky about canon, exactly what part of canon would ever lead you to believe that a band of good-aligned woodlanders would walk into Redwall, even a Redwall that is without official leadership, and *forcibly take it over*?
Furthermore, how would this help the current situation? You would either A) Be putting in charge a group of characters that are clearly less fit to run Redwall than the ones they've driven out/killed, or (if we go with the unlink and move idea) B) Be evicting and alienating the very players that have kept Redwall from becoming a ghost town for *years*, along with preventing any new players from coming in. Not to mention that the sudden disappearance of such a pinacle place as the Abbey would be very, um, difficult to explain. What, does everyone wake up one morning and go, 'whoops! This really isn't Redwall we've been building and defending all these seasons. Well nuts.'
The issue that Redwall has right now is *not* its current players. It's *not* the present vermin (an entirely different dead horse). The issue is that there is no established leadership, thus leading to a difficulty with the order as well as being welcoming to new players. As has been stated, that issue is not going to be solved by a proclamation from above (Read: Tinyplots/Majorplots/Unlinking/whathaveyou). The only way that issue will be solved is if someone with the time, dedication, and ability first proves they are fit to handle both the IC and OOC aspects of running the MU's most important canon group. There are no shortcuts. You have to work for it.
If you think you are capable, *go for it*. If you think you have a helpful suggestion for an event/plot, *tell us about it* (we have a board for that very purpose). If you want to help canon RP by sending your character to Redwall, by all means *please do*.
It's very easy to heckle from the sidelines while doing minimal to no actual work to fix the various difficulties.

I'll admit i would /love/ to see something done about it, however I really don't have the maturity (ICly speaking of course, or OOC for that matter) to run something that large, so we are speaking of a higher power here, and not the admins. Someone high up in the IC heiarchy is going to have to do it, and i'm not going to push for whoever it is, though I'm favoring a move by the LP or GUISOM first.
