My feelings on RPing

I don't consider my self an expert on how RPs should be run, though I've been in quite a number of them. Angst and violence are always major issues it seems, and can either make or break a good RP. I've been to a lot of RPs and I have to say that honestly, Redwall is the best one I've ever been a part of. The characters are so diverse, all with their own stories all taking place at the same time. From where I stand I don't think there is too much angst and violence, but I don't think there is a need for more though. There is a balance of all things that is needed for a good RP, and that's what Redwall has. Granted, at times some players can be a bit over the top and what not, but that's all part of the game people. Making OOC rules on HOW to RP wont make things better, it'll just make things worse. When you place restrictions like that it is no longer an RP it is something else, something boring that only the most narrow minded could possibly enjoy. The major fact was already stated, there are many writers on this thing, many other view points and ways to tell stories, that's what makes an RP so cool, you aren't limited to just one thing or one way to do things and your mind is allowed to freely create what it sees fit. That's what makes a good RP and that's why this one is my favorite.
