Antonia has tried to break up fights. One of the things that bothers me the most sometimes, is that if someone tries to ICly intervene, more often than not THEY SIMPLY GET IGNORED. Now I have seen my share of fights in the Abbey. I think I broke up one ICly, and two that started as IC, and turned into OOC. Beyond that, I get ignored by the fighters. It's all well and good if anyone else in the room goes along with it, but when the characters who are doing the brunt of the fighting ignore the "referee", nothing happens.

My suggestions had nothing to do with breaking up the fighting. I know that trying to directly break it up very seldom works. You can't force people to stop RPing the angst if that's what they want to do. My suggestions were for how to get you out of that situation, so you can start up an RP the way you want it to be. Give my little RP twist trick a try before saying there's no hope.
