Something I forgot to add.

There's one thing I've been seeing amongst the anti-angsters, to varying degrees, that has bothered me. I was surprised I forgot to throw it in last night. It's an attitude that reminds me of the infamous, 'This RP is boring' and then the disconnect. The person made no effort to make the RP to their liking. It's just a smack in the face to the other people while they take the easy way out. I always believe that person should have stayed and made the RP something they'd enjoy, instead of believing it's the responsibility of the others. I believe that's something that's always possible to do.

Josiah, I'm going to quote you here, but this is something I've heard from far more people:

'...I don't really have any choice...'

You -do- have a choice. If you aren't enjoying the RP, it's your job to fix that. It's easy to point fingers. This may be harder, but it's worth it in the long run. Get creative. Say, you're in an RP, and an argument breaks out. You do not need to go break it up /again/... What if smoke suddenly started coming out of the kitchen? You realize you left something in the oven, or some dibbuns made a mess of the kitchen, then decided to bake their creation, or... What if there was a crash in the Library all of a sudden? You, of course, need to go see what that was. It was a dibbun climbing up the shelves to find a good storybook, but he knocked over half a shelf's worth of books in the process. Or, a clumsy pair of youngish otters somehow managed to knock over half the bookshelves. /Or/...

I'm going to bet at least one person will follow you. Maybe even the fighters themselves will grow curious. If not, Redwall is a popular enough place that someone will likely show up soon enough, or you can page a few idlers to try to get them in on an RP.

If you don't like the angst, do not flame people, shouting about how bad they all are at RPing and how miserable they're making you. Do not quietly go along with it, while actually being bored to tears. Do not tell people, 'You're RPing bites. I'm leaving, but I'll check in now and again to see if you fixed it yet.' I've seen all of this done, and it puzzles me. Why would doing these things make it better? For the flaming and the leaving, I suppose people might be guilt tripped into trying to be different, but then there's another group of miserable players. And going along with it doesn't help anything.

What I'm trying to say is, please, everyone who isn't happy, make an effort yourselves. Don't just point fingers. It may be difficult right now, but in the long run, it'll be worth it. Be the good example. That will help far more than shouting at the people you believe don't have their act together. That way, people can see the difference. It's hard to straighten up when all you're told is, 'You're doing it wrong.'

I will try

I'm not really the type who likes to argue. And I do feel like I'm kinda the one responsible for this whole thread starting. I had a really rough night with this issue not too long ago, and I just wanted to get it off my chest. I apologize if I have offended anyone, and I WILL do my part to try other things to improve the current situation.
