Where do you enjoy most in the MU

Posted by: otter at 2005-05-05

Just taking a quick survey here...

Please respond and say what area of the MU you most enjoy RPing in.

By area, I mean major areas, like Redwall Abbey, Salamandastron, Ruingate, as well as minor areas, like the Black Gull Tavern. Even the Dirt Road is an area!

This will serve two purposes: to let people running those areas receive much needed feedback that their work is appreciated, and good examples that others should look at when improving their areas.

Thanks!

Keep the Light, Otter

Dirt Road...

Posted by: Chaos at 2005-05-06

It's not a group persay, but I've created a +skills group for the Dirt Road. Not too hard to remember, it's DirtRoad. Show some interest, find other people who like to RP on the Dirt Road... Maybe someone (maybe me) will create a few TPs and the +skills list will be a way to reach people who like RPing outside official areas. ~Chaos

The Church of St. Ninians

Posted by: Samuel at 2005-05-10

With the building flow of rp on the dirt road, I was pondering having a TP in conjuction with the slow rebuilding of St. Ninians. Perhaps a band of woodlanders (mainly mice but anything works) gathers to work on it for a fun day of gathering together, working side by side and having fun in the spring months only to be watched by a small band of vermin (aka coming in from the dirt road) to cause some mayhem. Dunno. I think it could be a lot of fun. I was at one point working on a TP with Salabim and Zoe reguarding some vermin stealing the Ninians bell. This could be rather interesting: Band of churchmice vs cut throats :P

Ideas

Not sure if this fits here but what about sound on the MUCK? Like if out in Mossflower woods, some sort of woodland music? In the ocean, sounds of waves? Perhaps in a village, people walking around ect ect? Might be interesting. I also think it would be cool to be able to have color descripts to make some things while on the MUCK more eyecatching :)

Ideas1

Possibly in future have map for each character who has a website membership. This means an actual map of the muck for each person but set them up so they can only see the rooms and areas they've been to. This is so people who hve been all over the place don't have to try to remember how to get there. A rule should be imposed that you don't tell people instead of letting them try to find it first.

Re: Loamhedge

Posted by: Ambiguous_Abnormality at 2005-05-14

I was recently wandering about the IC world when I decided to check out Loamhedge. Then I set about wondering why it exists, seeing as no one bothers to go there anyway. Is that for effect, or what? Anyway, I was thinkg of maybe renovating Loamhedge. It would be interesting. Any thoughts?

Mapleleaf

Posted by: Tivenn at 2005-05-20

I'm searching for some new TPs/MPs for Mapleleaf to help get it up and going more (preferable not battle conflicts as I feel there are overdone..) Got any ideas? Post away. Thanks!

Calling... EVERYONE!

Posted by: Chaos at 2005-05-23

Two Dirt Road TPs to begin as soon as I get some responses!

ONE: Gypsy Cart gets stuck in the mud, and they end up staying around awhile! P#mail Chaos if you're interested, in being a gypsy or just watching the fun!

TWO: Some good old vermin thieves. I'm looking for stereotypical not-too-bright vermin to rob a few characters, maybe the gypsy fair, and probably get caught after awhile. P#mail Chaos if you're interested in being a thief or maybe getting robbed too.

Thanks! Hopefully I get some replies sooner than later, and I'll set a start date for each! ~Chaos

As the recent survey showed, there aren't enough planned events. Well, if you're interested, let me know and we'll get some planned events going! These TPs are just the beginning... The DirtRoad +skills group is a group of players who want to see some RP along the Dirt Road, whether planned or spur-of-the-moment. Check out the Dirt Road Group pages for more information.

Monks of Mossflower

Posted by: Aldrich at 2005-05-25

I am pondering creating a band of woodlander/bird monks travelling the lands and helping out good beasts. No warriors would be allowed to join, and all members would need to be good/neutral good and basicly pacifist (though Aldrich can fight, he chooses not to unless directly threatened...). Any age works as well, and members would be frowned upon if carrying weapons that can be used as tools :)

In-Game Reward Ideas Requested

Posted by: otter at 2005-05-26

Everyone!

As you know (if you read +motd, which I'm sure you do!) we wrote a program to allow all who took the survey to make a zombie of a rare species (wolves, dogs, wolverines, etc.).

I'd like to come up with additional in-game rewards, so that we can do things like scavenger hunts, contests, and other events where the are prizes WORTH having.

So please reply to this with ideas for things in-game that can be granted as rewards. Violet came up with the restricted species idea, for instance.

I trust in all of YOU to tell me what you wish you could have/do that you can't, so that we can make the rewards worth winning.

Thank you!

Zombies

Is there a way to have Zombies shown on the find list? Perhaps a Z can be shown to show where a zombie is, ect ect. Just a thought!

Evilness.....

Posted by: Samuel at 2005-05-31

I believe the MUCK needs more evil vermin roaming the area, causing trouble be it from being thieves to assasins or just bullies. I've seen much more good then evil-and evil can be quite fun to play and I posted about a possible horde as well in the wishlist :)
