In the Redwall book I am reading now there are otters, mice, squirrels, badgers, voles, moles and hares in the abbey. When I play the game /all/ I see are mostly dibbuns, mice or martens And maybe a fox here and there. There is the occasional squirrel. Why are people not wanting to make beast the suit the abbey, like in the books. I mean, I have yet to see a vermin in the abbey in any of the books. I have heard there are some books with vermin in the abbey, but not as many that are on the muck. And I have seen no one running the abbey. You know, like the badgermum, an abbot or abbess, or council members. And now, when I go to the abbey everyone is in the infirmary, except for dibbuns. That is why I have really stopped RPing at the abbey. I would like to go back there, but no one seems to be happy there like Toni says. My advise to newbies is either go to Ruingate or Mapleleaf. You can get better help and better RPs. But that is my opinion.

I'm posting this message both here and in your other post, since both posts bring up the same concerns.
The simplest, easiest solution for both this and any other group that is having RP trouble is also the one that most folks seem to dislike, because it involves putting the responsibility back on their shoulders. That being this--Go to Redwall, go to the room you think RP should be in, grab one other person, and start up an RP. Make it the sort of RP you think should be in Redwall--open, welcoming, cheerful, and I guarantee you, other people will join in.
I'm a pretty rabid radio watcher myself, and overall, the level of RP activity in Ruingate is about on par with Redwall, and has been for at least the past few weeks (I can't speak for Mapleleaf, as I have no characters there and it is not on the radio). Make sure you don't judge RP activity by the number of people online in an area--too often these are alts or idlers.
Who has been unhelpful to you? Names in this case would be wonderful, so I know who to work with to better that. On that note, your name would also be helpful, so I could look back in my logs and see what specific instances and experiences you were involved in to lead to this opinion.

Facts, for those who think

Well, I could respond to the assertions, point by point. But, I think I'd rather just show some facts.
It's Saturday evening, 1915 hours MU time. Here's the result of running "where" for the Abbey:
Jacqueline timid F Squirrel IC 10s RW Abbey: Cavern Hole
Wallace A_Scot?!? M Squirrel DYN 5m RW Abbey: Cavern Hole
Bianca F Mouse IC 39s RW Abbey: Great Hall
Paine WOR! M Mouse IC 4m RW Abbey: Great Hall
Tipper M Otter IC 2m RW Abbey: Great Hall
Augustus Novice M Mouse DYN 4m RW Abbey: Infirmary Recovery
Josiah @doing M Mouse IC 5m RW Abbey: Infirmary Recovery
Avatar M Mole IC 9s RW Abbey: Kitchen
Keith Steel. M Mouse IC 39s RW Abbey: Western Rampart
Kevarr Cadburys F Marten IC 21s RW Abbey: Western Rampart
To summarize the report:
Squirrels 2
Mice 5
Otter 1
Mole 1
Marten 1
So, there is a single vermin in the Abbey and there are two beasts in the infirmary.
So, not only is the Abbey not "all vermin" but the infirmary is a minor amount of the people on.
One can argue that this is unusual, but I connected, typed where, and pasted in the results.
Instead of listening to MY claims, or anyone else's claims, the smart thinking person will think for themself. They will either go to the Abbey or listen in on the radio.
Think for yourself; use facts.

A lot of it is from the Earthquake there one and one half seasons ago. I read that it went fine for a while with repairing, but when Otter stopped pushing at them, the repairing stopped. martin's sword is lost, they have no leader, and vermin are freely making threats and no ones done nothing about it. You have a point, but what I'm saying is: YOU AREN'T GOING TO REINSTATE REDWALL TO IT'S FORMER GLORY ON YOUR OWN.
I dont really know about all this stuff cause im only a dibbun and need to join some kinda home but whatever. I dont really get this gossip about redwall.
