Of Injured Sides, but Healing Pride
Rahier is... hmm. I guess it's unusual to see him actually doing some work. The major's brow is furrowed, and the pen in his paw makes soft scratches as he writes. He stops to chew on the end of the stick serving as his writing utensil, before inking it again to write some more.
And guess /what?/ Now that training has commenced in the training room once again, Darklett has entertainment at least! Well, HAD. He's on a stretcher, being moved to the infirmary, looking very disappointed. "I can /walk,/ you know. Stretcher's unnecessary." Healers roll their eyes, and go to dump him onto a cot, tenderly. Seeing to it that he's situated, the healers walk away to dinner. Darklett grunts.
Rahier looks up when the door opens, and leans back in his chair, watching them bring in Dark. He also watches as he is.. dumped. XD He grins and shakes his head, sitting in his most comfortable chair. "Such disrespect."
"Yeah... No kidding." The healers had been pretty calm about it, but Darklett still reached over his chest with one paw to the other side of it and held it with a small wince. "Hey, Rah. Been keepin' busy?" He snorts, rolling his eyes and seemingly answering the question before he hears the response.
Rahier grins. "Well, hey, -I- wasn't th'one that beat y'up." The major picks up his mug of coffee and takes a sip, watching Dark wince and do all kinds of patient-things. And then the rolling of eyes. XD "Git."
"Mmhmm, yeah..." Darklett grins at the Major and uses his arms to lift himself to sit against the wall. "Didn't really /mind/ sitting in the training room anymore. You healers... Bound to make me miserable, I swear, sometimes."
"It's our job," he says, to the muttered agreement of the other hares occupying cots. Rahier beams. XD "Th'trainin' room isn't a good healin' environment, 'm sorry." With the healer-straight-face he shuffles some papers around.
"Oh yeah, well the infirmary isn't a good..." Darklett... can't think of a good comeback. "...isn't a good... place to be stuck!" Energy tends to build up when you can't move from a bed for a long time. "C'mon, Rah. I can get up and walk, I can even show you right now." He moves to get out of that prison of a cot.
Rahier moves parchment sheets from one stack to another. These supply requests, orders, booring. "Is it not?" He asks, with a telling grin despite the shuffling. XD His eyes turn up as Dark moves. "Can you, now?"
Apparently, it's not the walking that's the problem... It's the /getting up/ part. As his footpaws go uncontested over the side of the cot, he tries to stand up, having to stretch out some of those nasty gashes to do so... And causing quite a bit of discomfort, the likes of which Dark can't escape without a heavy wince and a grunt of pain. But he does eventually stand, and bounces on his paws, taking a few steps. "See?"
Rahier ceases his lively paper-shuffling to lean back and watch Dark try and stand. He grins, and gives the buck a clap of his paws to commemorate the success. ;p With a laugh, he shakes his head. "That can't be comfortable."
Darklett narrows his eyes at Rahier... But he's grinning soon after, so it's all good. "Well, nothin's comfortable when a marten's dug bloody ditches in your fur and flesh, Rah. It's gonna hurt whether I'm standing up, sitting down, or laying down." Happy to be up and about without being rushed to bed again, he uses this opportunity to lift his footpaws one at a time, bending his sore knees and wiggling his ankles around to work the cobwebs of misuse out.
Rahier chuckles. "I know.. I know." Mwa. XD He places his paws behind his head and his booted footpaws atop the table and streetches. "I don't care what y'do, Dark, but if y'hurt y'self y'are gonna be stayin' in here even longer."
Rahier room-pages, "Brb. XD".
Sigh. "Rah." Darklett's ears do a swivel of a tilt forward. "Makin' me second guess myself... I hate you." He looks back at his cot, then to the door, then to the major. "I feel fine. Well, I mean, no worse than I did yesterday or the day before."
Rahier grins. "Since when d'y'second guess y'self?" XD He falls forward in his chair again, and leans over his desk to peer at Darklett. "Okay, okay, take it easy, then. No trainin." Headshake. "Y'can go if y'like."
Darklett gives Rahier a glare of disapproval at the little shot taken at him. Shaking his head, he chuckles out and smirks, taking a step back towards the door. "Thanks. Er, get new staff. Keeping me cooped up like this..."
Rahier grins at the glare. "Oh, I wasn't bein' mean, y'big softy." XD The hare places his chin in his paw and watches as Dark contemplates escape and then moves that way. "Jus' don't let them see you. Y'can't run fast enough..."
