Characters involved (in order of appearance): Charsina, Darklett, Rahier, Marleigh.

A sweaty Charsina enters the intersection from the training room. She didn't know how long she had been in there...but she knew how long it was going to be before she went back.

A not-so-sweaty, but just as sleepy Darklett enters the intersection from the dorm hallway. His paws rub his eyes, then stretch above his head as he yawns, eyes clenched shut. When they open, he sees Charsina. He gives a wave, just to be polite, then almost heads to the kitchens, but stops halfway to the exit. "Mm."

Charsina looks down. It had been a while since she had last seen him, and that was the day he had kissed her. She didn't know if he had meant anything of it, but she wasn't going to find out by actually asking. "'Ello." Everything he had said to her started running through her head. The times he called her stupid, the times he made fun of her, and the times he had truly hurt her.

Darklett blinks some sleep away from his eyes, and starts heading towards the training room. "Morning. Afternoon. Evening. Whatever it is." All he's thinking of right now is "No kitchen duty! Hahahah!"

Charsina sighs slightly. "Evening." She heads for the dormitory hallways. She was such an idiot. She felt like banging her head into a wall or table or something.

"...Hey." Darklett turns right before he enters the training area. "Wait a second."

Charsina turns around and looks at him. "What?" Her heart began to race. What did he want?

Darklett hesitates. "Listen... I can't leave this place without an escort for... I don't know how long." He shifts his weight, scratching the back of his head. "So, you see, whatever is here, I'm stuck with, right?"

Charsina frowns, "I'm confused..." Her heart stopped racing, going to a slow pace once more. She looked at him once more.

Darklett sticks his tongue between his teeth and his upper lip, turning his head down and to the side a little, before looking back up and continuing. "I'm stuck with whatever's here until I'm allowed to go out without an escort again. This entire outpost is my habitat, from now until what I'm thinking is a really long time from now. What I'm saying is..."

Charsina looks at him again. "Yes?" She didn't know what to think he would say next. That maybe he hadn't meant to kiss her, that maybe once he was allowed out of the HQ he wouldn't have interest in her anymore, or if maybe he didn't have interest in her because he was stuck here.

"It would make it a lot easier if we weren't at each other's throats all the time." Darklett shrugs, raising his paws up to shoulder level, then letting them fall to his sides. "So... Can we just forget about everything that's happened between us?"

Charsina sighs, slightly hurt. "Yeah...we'll forget /everything/." She looks down. Did he truely mean /everything/ or just the aruging and stuff?

Darklett quirks an eyebrow at this reaction. "Did I say something?"

Charsina looks up at him. "Just thinking about what you meant by that." She shrugs. "Nothing important."

Darklett relaxes. "Oh. Well, in that case, I'm going to enjoy not being on kitchen duty anymore." He takes a step backwards towards the training room, offers a wave, then turns towards the exit.

Charsina bites her bottom lip. "Wait." She whinces as she did this, did she really want to do this? Of course she did. She had to know how he felt, or she was going to go insane.

Darklett stops, whirling around. It's notable that he's got a quite content look on his face, obviously happy that everything's cleared. "Yeah?"

Charsina looks at him. "What did you mean by everything?" She sighs. "Did you mean everything as in all the aruging? Or everything as in all the aruging and the.."She looks down, not wanting to say it.

Darklett strains and strains, searching the back of his mind. No, he can't think of anything they ever did, ever, besides argue. "...Mm...hmmm?" Even as he says this, his eyes are rolled up a bit in thought.

Charsina signs, hurt, obviously. "Okay." She nods. "Then..everything is forgotten.." She turns away to hide a tear. "Everything."

"No, no, no. Finish your sentence." Darklett clenches his footpaws, now curious. "The arguing and..."

Charsina stays turned around whiping, her eyes with her paw. "Do you not remember when you kissed me?" She turned around , she hadn't done a good job at hiding the fact she she was on the verge of tears. "Guess not."

Darklett nods slowly, eyes squinting a bit, and mouth curving up in what can almost be identified as a smile. "Ohh. Yeah. That was... Yeah, that was just to prove a point." The buck shakes his head quickly, and looks at the doe. "You didn't think that was actually... You didn't think that meant anything, did you?"

Charsina stares at him. "Ofcourse I did!" She turns away again, heading towards the dormitory hallway, trying to hide the fact that she was so upset.

Darklett bites the inside of his lip, pausing at first, then giving a few short nods. "...Okay. Sorry for the misunderstanding." He turns around again to head into the training room.

Charsina stops. "Not your fault." she whispers something, hoping he doesn't hear, yet hoping he does. "Not your fault I'm falling in love with you." She whipes the tears from her eyes.

Darklett's ears perk as he walks out. His walk slows a little, and he lowers his head, but he doesn't stop walking. /Just can't win.../ Into the training room he goes.

Charsina starts crying, leaning agianst a wall and sinking to the ground. She was stupid to think he could ever feel the same way for her as she did for him. Stupid...just plain stupid. She wanted to run after him, to kiss him and tell him to his face how she felt, but she knew he would push her away and say something mean, so she stayed where she was. She stayed in the Main Intersection as a crying, shaking ball of fur.

---------A while later...

Darklett makes his way out of the armory, now wearing his belt. He's already got two knives unsheathed and twirling around his paws. He looks at the targets set up for the archery range, the ones he usually uses... He shakes his head, sheathing the knives and walking over to one of the mannequins, picking it up and, with a bit of struggle, and having to put it down a few times and rest, moves it over in front of a target, heading back to the place the range begins, unsheathing a knife, and bouncing it in his paw.

From the corners of the room, comes two arrows, one hitting the mannequins chest, and the other in it's head. The shooter stays in the shadows, not allowing themselves to be seen by Dark. A small grin passes the lips of the hare, watching the buck's reaction.

Hmm? Hmm. Well -that's- interesting. Darklett does a quick spin, and sees nobeast around. Hmm. The arrows must have already been there, he just hadn't noticed them. After all, nothing serious enough has happened to make him start seeing things again, has it? He shakes his head, bouncing the dagger in his paw a few more times before throwing it, watching the knife's spinning and slight arc through the air, grinning as it hits just to the right of the arrow in the chest. The buck takes out two more knives, throws one up the air, and decides to have some juggling practice. It's more fun that way.

With another grin, the shooter shoots an arrow at the knife, hitting it, causeing it to fly out of the chest of the mannequin. Shooting another quickly, aiming it for the place the knife was, and grinning as it hits the same spot.

Darklett blinks at the mannequin, eyes now wide as his knife seems to have become an arrow, now. He spins around again. "Who's there?"

The shooter laughs slightly, changing their voice ever so slightly. "Scared?" Shoots yet another arrow, it flies past Dark's head and hits the wall behind him. "I would be."

Darklett hits the dirt, so to speak, as he sees the arrow fly. "What the hell? What kind of sick joke is this?" He stands back up, thinking... Voice sounded female. Oh, it must be Dart. "Dart, show yourself. That was not funny, Dart, not funny."

The shooter laughs once more. "Sorry, wrong." Another arrow goes flying, purposefully missing Dark again, but by less distance this time. "Guess again."

Darklett leaps to the side to avoid the arrow. "St... Stop it!" He scrambles back to his feet, and starts running towards the source of the arrows. "Don't shoot again! I swear I'll report you!"

With a giggle, the shooter moves through the shadows to a different location, to not be found. "Aww...you going to report ickle 'ol me? But how do you know there is not more than one?" Shoots an arrow at something, making it bounce off and miss Dark's head, making it seem as if it came from a different direction.

Darklett heard the voice come from a different direction, so isn't fooled. But still... "Shut up! Who's there?" Well, there's really only one other it could be. "Charsina, what the hell do you think you're doing?"

Charsina smiles. "Scaring you." Comes out of the shadows with the bow in her hands and arrows in the other. "Seems to be working too."

Darklett swallows heavily. "What's gotten into you? You're crazy!" He sheaths the two knives he has in paws.

Charsina laughs. "I'm not crazy.." She thinks for a second. "I'd say...realistic." She grins and shoots a couple arrows at the mannequin, all of which hit in the place were the heart would be.

Darklett looks at the mannequin. "Good shot. But what are you thinking? One trip, one sudden movement... Listen, I don't think it's healthy to deal with your problems by shooting FLIPPIN ARROWS AT ME!"

Charsina smiles at him. "But it's so much fun..." She grins and gets 3 arrows ready to shoot. "See watch.." She shoots the arrows at his feet, she misses of course, but the fun part is watching him get out of the way.

Darklett jumps out of the way, landing face first on the floor. After a few seconds, he scrambles to his feet. "Hey! I'm sorry things didn't work out for you, okay?! I'm sorry! Now stop shooting at me!"

Charsina laughs once more. "But it is so much fun." She smiles at him. "How scared of me you are just because I happen to shoot arrows at you."

Darklett shakes his head at Charsina. "I'm sorry to do this, but I'm reporting you." He turns his back and walks - rather briskly - towards the exit of the training room.

Charsina shakes her head. "See I can't let you do that..." She gets an arrow ready, aims and shoots straight for the back of his leg, she lowers her bow and waits.

"Gah!" Darklett reaches back with his paw as if to grasp his hamstring, and falls forward, heavily, onto the floor of the training room. "Nn... Ngg..." He rolls onto his side, reaching to pull the arrow out, and blood comes running from the arrow wound. "H... Help!"

Charsina drops the bow, running over. "Oh no." She rips part of her undershirt off and quickly wraps it around Dark's wound. "Dark I'm so sorry." She starts crying, just trying to get the bleeding to stop.

"GET THE HELL AWAY FROM ME!" Darklett blindly swings out with a clenched paw as the doe, who just SHOT HIM!!! is now trying to help him out.

Charsina scrambles away, still crying. What had she done. She was awful. She felt like she should let him shoot an arrow at her and kill her. She moves up against the wall, still crying.

Rahier's entrance shouldn't be a surprise. He is, after all, whistling from the short jaunt from infirmary to the training room. "Alrigh', who's got th'broken nose, this time..?" The buck quirks a brow through the doorway, expecting to be met by a bleeding face. Instead he gets.. Dark and Charsina, his face quickly becoming the hare approximation of o.O. ...

Charsina winces. Oh geez a major, she was in for it now. She might as well shoot herself with an arrow. Would they kill her? Kick her out? Or worse. She whimpered slightly through her tears.

Darklett swallows between ragged breaths. Whew. Wow, getting shot -really HURTS.- "Agh..."

Hrm. The bloody arrow next to Darklett is rather telling. Not to.. mention the wound. Yes. Briefly confused, he looks toward the sobbing Charsina, and realization dawns. XD Bow at her feet, and all. o.o "Uhm. Alrigh'. You, stay righ' there, an' don't move." He addresses Charsina, of course, before walking his way to Darklett's side. Warily. "...Mind tellin' me what happened?" Paws over the wound.

Charsina just continues to cry. She was horrible. She shouldn't have done that. She shouldn't have done any of it. She was stupid, completely stupid...and dead. Dead Doe Crying.

Darklett looks up at the major through squinted, pained eyes... like the good major has finally lost it. "Are you kidding? She shot me! She was shooting arrows at me, barely missing... I turned to leave, and... Nng!" A stab of pain stops him mid-sentence. "She... shot me!"

Eep. Rahier's ears fall back over his skull, as he looks rather shocked. And confused. ;p He considers, for a bit, despite Darklett's obvious pain. Righty. "C'mon, Darklett. T'th'infirmary with ya. Up." He places his arms under Darklett's shoulder, the objective being to allow Darklett to limp there with him as support. ;p "Charsina, walk ahead o' us. Move it."

Charsina nods, getting up and walking infront of him. She wouldn't even think of making a run for it. That would just be more idiotic than everything else she had done already.

Darklett grinds his teeth together, slowly but surely making his way upright. Oh, and he moves down a paw to undo a buckle, letting the belt, weighted by the weapons it contains, drop to the floor, revealing the belt that is actually a part of his uniform. He carefully begins to limp towards the exit, wincing in pain with every step.

Well, good, because Rahier really isn't in a position to give chase. ;p The major slings one arm around Darklett's back, to give him as much support as possible, as he moves toward the exit, after the doe.

---------*---------

Charsina enters the infirmary, ears drooping and looking down at her foot paws. How interesting everything was when she had no clue what her future held anymore. Every now and then she'd cast a glace back at Dark and Rahier, only to look down at her foot paws once more.

She -shot- him! Darklett limps, with the aid of Rahier, into the infirmary, heading for the nearest cot. Because walking hurts. Good job, Darklett, way to go, another way doing what you think is right comes back to bite you in the rear.

Marleigh looks up from what she was doing. "What in..." She glaces at Charsina, then Rahier and Darklett. "What happened?" She notices the blood and quickly gets something to clean and cover the wound.

Rahier directs Charsina with his free paw as he enters, pointing to a cot a bit away from the door. "Sit o'er there, an' don't move none." As for Darklett, well, Darklett gets dumped on the nearest cot. ;P Grunt. "Towels, water, bandages. C'mon, Marleigh." Nevermind that she's already hopped up. Rahier takes a seat alongside Darklett, on his stool.

Charsina sits on the cot he points to. She looks up at Marleigh, then back down at the floor. She truly didn't want to know what her little perfect sister would think of this. She winced at the thought.

Darklett writhes a bit, but the natural pain-numbing chemicals are starting to kick in, now. So he can function, however limited as he's laying face-down on a cot. He finds a way to glare at Charsina in the most sadistically evil way possible.

Marleigh comes back quickly, handing an already wet towel to Rahier. She looks between Dark and Charsie. "What happened Major?" She gets another towel ready.

Darklett winces, now sweating from the pain. The glare weakens a bit, the buck's eyes roll up, and lids close. Aaaaaaaaaaaaand unconscious.

Rahier has his eyes on Darklett's leg, so he accepts the towel offhandedly, using it to apply pressure to the oogly wound. To stop the bleeding, yesh. "He got shot in the leg." The major turns a quirky brow up toward the doe. "Have you ever seen an arrow wound? It's quite fascinating. Less so, that he's torn it out already. Here, have a see." He raises the towel a tad, for her.

Marleigh turns her head away. "Sorry Major, but I'd rather not. I have a hard time with the sight of blood as it is. Let alone having an up close and personal encounter with the actual wound." She hands him a fresh wet towel.

Charsina is still looking at the floor, trying to act like she isn't there. Maybe if she wishes really hard, she can go back in time to before she did any of this.

Rahier smirks, reapplying pressure with his paw. He makes light note of the fact that Darklett's passed out, but doesn't seem overly concerned. "Ah, but you're a healer. One o' my healers, at that." Rahier doesn't seem perturbed in the least by the sight. "On the battlefield, you mustn't ever remove an arrow in this fashion. They tend to be barbed, or hooked backward, so tearing it out will only cause much more damage. Do you know the proper way to remove an arrow?"

Marleigh shakes her head, looking at her sister. "No sir. I'm afraid that part of the healing was too graphic for me." She looks back at him. "But if it's hooked backwards, I'd imagine you'd want to turn it on it's side and ease it out, so that it doesn't snag and tear more muscle."

Charsina shakes her head. She bet she was right, or close. Little miss perfect. She would never shoot an arrow at someone. She was just to perfect. She would never do anything that would risk losing her perfect Rurun.

Rahier grins, which could be considered odd, as he removes the towel. "Y'get used t'th' sight o' blood. This's somethin' y'must learn. I've taken tons o' arrows outta people in my time." Apparently, the bleeding's stopped, to his satisfaction. Wound cleaning time. "Nah. Twistin' anythin' like that's a bad idea. There's generally two things y'can do. Push it th'rest o' th'way through, if it's in somethin' like a thigh, or use y'knife t'cut an' pull it out." He turns his head toward her, again. "Can y'stitch?"

Marleigh nods and gets the supplies needed, needle and stitching thread. "And if the arrow has already gone through on it's own, halfout and in, I should just pull it out the rest of the way? Should I remove the feathers before doing so?" She looks at him.

Charsina makes faces, a smile as one. She was wrong she was wrong. Perfect little Marleigh was wrong. Bet the major didn't like her answer very much. Could get someone more hurt, she shouldn't be a healer. Make her a runner. She held back the need to laugh.

Rahier nods, looking slightly pleased. "Aye, if th'head o' th'arrow's stickin' out th'other side already, jus' pull it all th'way through. Not back, or it'll get hooked." Obviously. "If y'can remove th'fletchin', that's good too." He sits back on his stool. "I wantcha t'stitch this up, then stick a compress on it, followed by wrappin's."

Marleigh nods, pulling up a stool to be able to get closer, no matter how much she didn't want to be. She thread the needle and began to stitch the wound closed. Was she doing it right? Having the major looking over she shoulder was making her worry. Her eyes were in almost a glare of concentration. In and out, in and out. Don't get nervous or you'll really mess up.

Charsina laughed out at Marleigh's nervousness. She had never seen Marleigh so nervous in her life. She stopped laughing, hoping neither of them had noticed.

Rahier only watches for the first few stitches, before giving an approving grunt and a nod. "Good work, healer." Dum dee. A laugh? o.O The buck makes his way over to Charsina's cot, now, frowning distinctly. "..Charsina, what th'hell didja think y'were doin'?"

Marleigh continues with her orders, finishing the stitching, putting a compress on the wound and wrapping it, trying to listen to the conversation while doing so.

Charsina looks up at him. "I...I don't know sir." She looks down. Eek. He scared her. "I.." She sighed. She didn't know how to explain herself.

Rahier crosses his arms and liberally blood-soaked paws over his chest, giving her the greatest frown he's got. "'Tis probably th'stupidest thing I've ever seen done, hones'ly." Headshake. "I'm gonna go'n get th'fighters. Th'Colonel'll decide what t'do with ya." Towards the exit he heads.

Marleigh shakes her head. Her sister could be really stupid sometimes. Shot him because he didn't want to be with her no doubt.

Charsina whimpers slightly. The Colonel...now she was really in for it. "Don't shake your head at me Marleigh. This has nothing to do with you."

End.
