Log one:Agly meets Zoe=
Salamandastron: Recreation Room
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* Salamandastron *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
The recreation room for the army of the Longpatrol. Here soldiers come to
relax after a hard day's work and the officers come for a game of cards or
a quick drink by the fire. The room is quite large, having to deal with a
lot of hares at one time. Along one wall there is a large worktop with
some cuhsioned stools lining one side of it. On the other side of the
worktop there stand many kegs and bottles, lined so that they can be
easily opened by someone standing on the inside of the bar but well out of
reach of the rowdy hares on the other side. There are a few woollen cloths
on the bar and mats in front of each stool. The next thing nearest to the
bar are the round tables, each with 4 chairs around and a lantern in the
middle of each one. There are a couple of slightly larger oval tables with
8 seats around, obviously for larger crowds. The other end of the room is
littered with armchairs, comfortable armchairs, each pair with a small
table in between. The armchairs are near the fire, used to heat the room
and provide extra comfort for the relaxing soldiers.

At one of the tables nearer to the fireplace, a large, canvas map is spread out. Spectacles perched on her nose,
the Colonel is poised, leaning, over the map. She is focused on it to the exclusion of all else.
Algador walks in boldly and looks around 'hello' he says quite clearly for a hare so young
Some of the hares seated at the bar glance around at Algador's entrance and greeting, and some waves are returned. Zoe, however, only responds with a small flick of her ear and a squinting of her eyes as she concentrates all the more on her task.
Algador looks at zoe and walks over he's small so he has to stand on tip toes to see it 'what are you looking at?' he askes
Zoe_Lang spies Algador out of the corner of her eye as he approaches, so when he reaches his destination, she's already sitting up and looking at him. With a small smile, she nods to the chair beside him. "'Tis a map - take a look fer yourself."
Algador peers at the map his eyes following the lines then shrugs 'doesn't make sense to me'
"'Tis a map of Halyard Village - more or less - from what the rescued villagahs could tell us." The colonel gives the younger creature a long look. "I don't recognize ya, lad. What's yer name?"
Algador grins 'i'm called algador' he looks at the map again 'halyard village? rescued villagers?'
Zoe_Lang reaches her paw across the table in offer of a shake. "Colonel Zoe, deah. Pleasure t' meetcha." She then nods to the map again. "Halyard's a village nearby, 'n' it's recently been taken ovah by vermin. Some of the villagahs managed t' escape, 'n' they're stayin' here in the mountain 'til we liberate the village."
Algador shakes her hand 'oh vermin, was there a couple of old squirrels rescued?'
Zoe_Lang hms thoughtfully, but soon shakes her head. "Don't believe so, 'm sorry."
Algador looks at the map 'oh ok' he doesn't look really concerned more interested
Zoe_Lang points to a location on the map - it's the village tavern. "That's where the othah captives are bein' held. We'll be goin' in to rescue 'em soon."
Algador looks a little excited now 'can i come?'
Zoe_Lang laughs, but unfortunately shakes her head. "No... yer too young, lad. Wouldn't be safe for ya."
Algador looks disappointed 'i can fight' he starts air-boxing
Zoe_Lang grins at Alg. "I'm sure ya can. Is that what brought ya t' the mountain? Wantin' t' be a fightah?"
Algador shakes his head 'nope, i wanted to look around but i couldn't find my way back sooo'
Zoe_Lang looks puzzled. "Ya couldn't find yer way back t' what?"
Algador shrugs 'the old squirrels' he starts air-boxing again
Zoe_Lang looks even more puzzled. "Who're the old squirrels?"
Algador explains 'they took me in long time ago, but i wanted to see the big fire mountain, and now i like it here' he is still air-boxing
Zoe_Lang sits back in her seat with thoughtful curiosity. "Well, well... yer rathah grown up fer such a little buck, aren't ya?"
Algador shrugs 'the old squirrels always said i was really smart' he changes the subject 'can't i just stay far away and watch the rescue?'
Zoe_Lang smiles sympathetically, understanding his desire to be involved. "You c'n watch from the cratah. You'll be able t' see folks marchin' back 'n' forth from the mountain. I imagine help'll be needed in the kitchen t' feed the returnin' fightahs, 'n' mayhaps in the infirmary, s'well. I bet they'd love a smart lad like yerself t' help out." She begins rolling up her map. "Unfortunately, m'lad, I have t' attend t' a few things."
Algador groans at the thought of helping in kitchens 'think i'll stick to the infirmary' he begins to walk out 'think i'll turn in though, g'night'
