You are in a medium-sized circular 'room' from which several passages
branch off. Each passage fades off around a twisting corner, winding
around in the bowels of the mountain. One passage, however, hardly more
than a short, straight hall, ends abruptly with a large wooden door - the
forge room.

Terrance can be seen sitting against one of the walls, his knees drawn up with his head buried in his arms on top of them. From what you can see, the young buck isn't looking the best. His head fur is unkempt, his clothes are wrinkly looking, and his general posture makes him look tired. You also may notice that he is still not wearing a uniform either.
Rahier walks his way down from the upper level, doubtlessly from the infirmary. One does have to attend to his duties, and all. The hare steps quietly into the intersection and pauses to look about, and almost continues, if he hadn't spotted the slumped hare. "H'lo?" he ventures. "Soemthin' wrong?"
Terrance jerks a bit as if waking up and then lifts his head, grogily looking around for the source of what woke him. He spots Rahier and blinks a few times as his mind gets back up to speed. "Oh." is all he says at first and starts to stand. "Uh, guess you could say that. Sah." he begins, rubbing his red eyes quickly. "I don't really know where I'm supposed to be or be doing."
"Huh," he replies, blinking some. "Whaddaya mean?" An ear tilts as he observes the other. "Y'look like a mess, y'do. I'll tell you, sittin' here isn't gonna make anythin' better." Rah crosses his arms, hrming. "Who are ya, anyway?"
Terrance glances down at the ground, ears pinned back. "Terrance sah. Just got 'ere yesterday ta join the patrol, but all o' the hares were too busy to tell me where ta go you see." He glances back towards where he was sitting, "Must o' nodded off there when I took a seat ta get off my paws sah."
Rahier grins. "Well, then, why didnt'cha say so?" The buck walks over, to place a paw on Terrance's shoulder. "Name's Rahier, I'm a Major 'round these parts." He retracts his paw, sticking it into a pocket. "Come t'join, eh? Well, I can handle that. We'll have t'getcha a proper uniform."
Terrance perks up as he sees Rahier grinning, ears lifting a bit, guess he's not in too much trouble. "Well tried to tell some others sah but they were rushing about their business I suppose." he says, offering a tired smile. "That would be great. And uh, a bed might be nice for later sah."
Rahier chuckles. ;p "It does get a bit busy 'round here once in awhile, I do s'pose." Another grin. "Yeh, we'll getcha a dorm, too." He leans against the wall next to Terrance. "What'd y'say y'name was?"
The smile grows on Terrance's face at that news. "Terrance sah. Terrance Chamberlain" he answers, shifting his weight a little. "Came from the village of Treeshore, not too terribly far from 'ere."
Rahier ahhhs. "Nice t'meetcha, Terrance." He laughs a bit at the recruit's enthusiasm. "A fine place, 'm sure, has a nice ring t' it." He pauses for a second, considering. "So, what'd y'come t'join as? Fighter, runner?"
Terrance swells his chest out and generally tries to make himself look bigger/buffer. "Fighter sah" he says, letting out his breath suddenly after a few moments.
Rahier laughs and pokes at Terrance's swelled middle. ;p "Okay, okay, I believe you." He crosses his arms, grinning. "'M a healer m'self.. Jarril'll prob'ly handle y'trainin'.. s'what he does, mos'ly."
Terrance gives a few short laughs as he gets poked. Listening, the young buck nods, "And uh, who would he be sah?" he asks.
"Ah ha, yeh, I don't supposed y'd know. Nah, he's a major, li' me, 'cept a runner. He handles a lot o' th'recruits." The hare looks off toward the dormitory hallway. "You'll have a dorm, like I said, an' a uniform. You'll have duties t'attend to an' classes t'be at."
Terrance nods, "Okay sah." He glances around then and returns back to Rahier, "What should I do now then, if'n ya don't mind me askin'?"
Rahier grins. "Eager, thas' always good. Well..." He touches his chin, thoughtfully. "Y'look... well, y'look beat, Terry. Y'could go t'your dorm-- it won't have y'name on the door yet, that'll come when it's prepared, but it'll be yours. I'll have y'uniform brought by."
Right on cue a yawn comes forth from Terrance. He tries to hide it at first but gives up and just lets it out. "That sounds nice sah." he says. Glancing over himself he frowns a little, "I s'ppose my look didn't make a great first impression. Patter was sayin' that would be an important thing." He looks around again. "Um, could you tell me how to get to the dorm I guess sah?"
Rahier chuckles. "Needn't worry m'lad, I was a recruit too once, y'know." He grins, and pats the recruit on the back, before starting for the dorm hallway. "But let's not make waste, eh? Y'look bloody tired, an' all. This's th'dorm-way, y'room should be righ' down this way..." And he goes, bidding the other follow.
Terrance grins, "Really sah? Well guess there might be hope for me then, eh wot." As Rahiers sets off, Terrance follows, foot paws shuffling a little as another sign of his tiredness.
