Camp Willow - North Main Grounds
Slain lays on his back staring up at the sky, a long piece of grass in the corner of his mouth.
Shadowbow comes dropping out of the willow tree, not far away, no pack, now bow, nor quivers, and lands in a crouch before he stars to stand an look around, for once it seems he's relaxed his common armorment.
Hallow waddles her way onto her porch and looks about for a moment before heading straight for the bench and sitting down with a flop, she doesn't acknowledge anyone yet.
Slain sits up to looks around at the new presences.
Shadowbow nods once to Slain before he looks at Hallow, and smirks before he nods a greeting to her too, "'Ello..."
Slain returns the nod.
Hallow looks over and grunts some form of greeting in response to Shadowbow, not the best of moods but she doesn't appear to be in one of her bite your head off ones at least.
Shadowbow furrows his brow a little at the ottermaid before he looks back to Slain, not being in a mood to loose his better than normal mood, "Isn't th' sun gettin' a little low for ya ta start tryin ta sun yerself?"
Slain half smiles "Well, it was a lot higher when I started."
Hallow is getting used to being ignored when she's in a bad mood, she's still pregnant so it's been happening alot lately, she ignores them back and looks around at nothing in particular.
Razvan has connected. Razvan leaves to the other side of the camp. Razvan has left. Razvan enters from the other side of the grounds. Razvan has arrived.
Shadowbow smirks a little, "Aye..Bu' don't lizards normally do tha' in the morning?"
Slain shrugs "I'm not like most lizards."
Razvan walks slowly into the ground, rubbing tousled hair. He doesn't look happy.
Slain glances over his shoulder at Razvan "Hello Razvan."
"Mmmff," the otter grunts angrily.
Slain blinks "Er, hard day friend?"
Hallow looks over at Razvan as he turns up but doesn't say anything, just goes back to staring off into the trees, sat on her porch, out the way, she doesn't have to be happy and interested, she's pregnant, she can get away with not caring in the slightest, right now though she just looks a little bored by everything.
Razvan turns toward the lizard. "You might say that," he snaps irritably.
Shadowbow looks back at hallow as the lizard starts on with his friend, "You going to be alright?" Not getting to much closer though, the last thing he wants is to have the skippers wife yelling in his ear.
Razvan rubs his headfur a bit. "ad nightmares. Fell out of th bed." He snarls a bit at no-one. "Gotta headache."
Slain nods "I see..."
Hallow looks over at Shadowbow, appearing as if she was only half listening anyway, she nods "Sure I'll be fine" turned rather docile all of a sudden.
Razvan looks over at Shadowbow, sighing and shaking his head a bit. "Who's 'e, Slain?"
Shadowbow nods once, before he turns to the other two, figuring that someone's referring to him at least, and furrowing his brow a little as he starts to pay attention to the other conversation again.
Slain answers "Shadowbow I believe."
Razvan turns towards Shadow. "Uh, 'ello, mate. I'm Razvan."
Shadowbow nods once, "Aye't, sorry about th' hostile welcom th' other night..."
Razvan cocks his head. "Uh, no worries. It's nothin'."
Hallow just quietly watches for the moment.
Tovin wanders in then, slowly, and takes in the scene. Quietly, and very unobtrusively, she crosses to Skipper's house and silently joins Hallow on the porch.
Razvan shakes his head gently, wincing. "Erghh, ya got anythin' for a headache? I've been getting them frequently for a while now."
Hallow watches Tovin come over and even smiles slightly, nice to have company once in a while.
Shadowbow shakes his head quietly as Raz asks, "Nah, You'd need ta ask the healer..." and he doesn't see Tovin because his backs to where she is.
Razvan suddenly grips his head. "Nnnggh." His whole body shudders for a moment in fitful pain.
Slain gets to his feet "Razvan?"
The pain seems to recede as Razvan slowly releases his head. He sighs, cracks his neckbones, and glances at Slain. "Jus' a li'l headache.
Tovin scowls slightly and whispers to Hallow, "Feverfew. That'd help the headache..."
Razvan tries to grin. "Umm, Slain? Why are we here again?"
Shadowbow furrows his brow a little at the other otter, "Aye perhaps we should head to the healers," he hasn't seen much like hat before...
Slain smiles weakly, he's getting worried about his friend "We stopped here on our way to Runegate."
Razvan cocks his head. "Oh, yeah. Why haven't we left yet?"
Slain says "I'm not sure, but maybe we should take up that offer to go see a healer, just to keep it safe."
Shadowbow looks at the two, "Well seeing as you'll be going to your death bed as an otter going to Ruingate, you don't /need/ to see a healer, but you should..."
Hallow leans over slightly as Tovin whispers to her and watches the others for a while, she nods slightly, might not know much about healing but headaches she could do.
Razvan waves a paw. "No, mate, I'm fine. Jus', let's hang around ere a bit. Jus till me headaches gone." He glances up at Shadowbow. "Huh, oh, no, I ave a friend who lives in Ruingate. Jus gonna visit her."
Slain looks back at Shadowbow "What do you mean by that?"
Shadowbow looks at Slain, "Well...They hat otters, sea otters most of all, but they have no love fore river otters ether...."
Razvan grins at Shadowbow. "Seein' as me friend is the surrogate niece a Merdez Soulslash, I ain't got no worries." He gestures at Slain. "He might though. Can't stand Ebo, ca
Slain nods "I've heard of the mindless prejudices in the city, I understand that they don't exactly think highly of lizards either."
Shadowbow nods quietly, and stays quiet for a moment before he speaks, "As long as you know what you're getting in to...." he sighs, "Just ask f ya want me ta take you to th' healers..."
Razvan suddenly scowls. "I told ya, I don't need no ealers pokin at me." He pauses, the scowl dropping. "Jus' a li'l headache. Ya beasts worry ov'r nothin'.
Razvan sighs a bit. "Ya been ta Ruingate, mate?" He directs the question at Shadowbow.
Shadowbow nods once, "Aye...And almost lost my head b'cause I said shipmate, an' some idiot gladiator, almost got me beheaded before they relized I wasn't a sea otter..."
Slain looks to Razvan "This sounds like a place we should avoid, are you sure you want to go there?"
Razvan chuckles. "Aye, it's a wild city, full a vermin. Nearly ad me paw chopped off in th Skull 'n Candle."
Razvan nods at Slain. "'course, can't let me muscles rot in Redwall."
Slain half smiles "Right."
Hallow frowns slightly at the conversation but remains quiet for now.
Razvan half-smirks. "I c'n 'old me own, if'n I 'ave to. Who don't enjoy a good brawl once inna while, eh?"
Tovin keeps silent as well but leans back and props herself up on her elbows.
Shadowbow shrugs, leaning back, "This camp could always use annother otter ta help, or you could find somewhere that doesn't hate otters...."
Razvan rubs his chin a bit. "I ppreciate th offer an' jus' might take ya up on it." He sighs. "But not now. I've got...things in me life right now."
Razvan rubs his temple a bit, feeling the pain subside. "Hmm, bu' I wonder if' ya could use a woodworker at this time. I c'n make wood very pretty."
Slain raises a gloved claw "And I have some experience in healing as well as combat."
Hallow keeps on listening to them talk and leans back on the bench a little, not bothering to look at them anymore.
Shadowbow shrugs, "You'd nned ta ask some other beast, I don' know what all o' th' others are good at," and he goes to look at Hallow, and sees Tovin too, thusly blushing a little, how did he miss her?
Razvan stares at where Shadowbow is staring. He sees Tovin and Hallow, waves, and turns back. "Well, it don't matter. I jus' wanted ta see what Camp Willow looked like, really."
Bored, Tovin cocks an eyebrow and grins when she sees Shadowbow looking at her.
Slain smiles happily nodding "Yes, this place is very lovely."
Razvan waves a paw. "Eh, it's nice, but th' River Moss's mouth is even better."
Slain half smiles up at Razvan "Well if you recall, I'm still learning about this place."
Hallow looks at Tovin for a moment when she grins and then over to Shadowbow before returning to face front, she leans back once more and smiles very slightly.
Shadowbow grins back, ears folding flat as he tries, to hide the blush even though he's almost sure she's seen it, "'Ey Tovin..."
"Evenin', Shadowbow." Tovin nods.
Shadowbow starts to walks towards the two otter maids again, mostly towards Tovin, "How's your day?" Ears still folded as he tries to get over the blush.
Tovin shrugs. "Pretty good. Yours?"
Shadowbow shrugs, "Been kinda uneventful, bu' it's been nice...."
Slain still looking up at Razvan "So, when are leaving for Rungate?"
Hallow leaves them to talk, looking about and the trees, quietly once more.
Tovin smiles slightly. "Aye. Not much goin' on recently.."
Shadowbow chuckles a little as he takes a seat next to her, "Aye..." he looks back up at her with a grin, "You still want ta head down south an' all?"
Tovin nods. "Aye. As soon as I get everything straightened out with Sekeri..."
Razvan has disconnected.
Shadowbow nods again, "Aye't, cause we still need ta ge' yew a real pack an' all b'fore we go...."
Tovin brings one paw up and begins counting off, grinning the whole time. "An' blankets, an' food, and bandages...."
Slain has disconnected.
Shadowbow reaches up with one paw to close her paw, "I know..."
Tovin chuckles. "And we should probably get rid of that oar..."
Shadowbow nods chuckling a little himself, "What're we going ta do with that anyways?"
Tovin shakes her head. "/No/ idea. We could always....hang it up somewhere..."
Shadowbow shrugs, "We could make a few staves or a pike with i' too..."
Tovin raises both eyebrows, alarmed. "We've got to keep it in one piece!!"
Hallow is only barely listening anymore and has even gone to the extent of nearly dozing off, eyes starting to droop a little.
Razvan has connected. Razvan has disconnected.
Shadowbow chuckles a little, "Aye't, I won't hurt yer oar, Wouldn' want ya ta club me with i' if I tried..."
Tovin grins evilly. "Aye. And you'd never hear the end of it either if'n you /did/ chop it up."
Kroova comes in from the pathway to the side grounds. Kroova has arrived.
Shadowbow pushes the maids shoulder lightly, "I figured as much..."
Tovin playfully nudges him back and decides that this is probably as good a time as any to ask a question. "Hey, do y' think you'd mind if we took Sekeri with us down south?"
Hallow flicks one ear a couple of times but is pretty much asleep now, dozing quite happily on the porch.
Shadowbow gives pause at this comment, ".....That'd be kindof risky don't yew think?"
Tovin sighs and absently scratches her left ear. "I...thought about that. But I think it'd be worse leavin' her here. No one really knows she's here and I don't think she'd be taken care of..."
Kroova comes walking in with his head low he walks over to a tree an sits down under it he clearly want's to be left alone.
Shadowbow thinks about this for a moment before he nods, "If ya want too...Bu' i' waont be easy ta bring 'er along.."
Tovin nods. "I realize that. She listens to me though and if we put her on top of one of the packs we wouldn't have to worry bout makin sure she kept up. She's quiet, hides well..."
Hallow doesn't notice Kroova, she doesn't notice anything, she's asleep.
Kroova lie's back and close's his eye's not listening to a thing the other otter's aay at all not even careing.
Skyblaze has arrived.
Shadowbow nods quietly to the ottermaid, "Aye, that'd be fine then..."
"Thanks." Tovin sighs. "I'm just so /worried/ about her. Poor thing..."
Kroova rolls over and is asleep but is still sad in a way.
Shadowbow smirks, "Aye...s alrigh, no' like she'll be a problem...We jus' need ta make sure she stays safe..."
Kroova rolls over so his back is towards the others.
Tovin nods. "I don't think it's going to be as hard as we think..."
Hallow has disconnected.
Kroova stay's with his back turned to them.
Shadowbow shrugs, "Prepair for th' worst, an' hope fer th' best...Aye?" he smirks.
Tovin laughs slightly. "Sounds good to me..."
Shadowbow chuckles, "Thought so...So what b'side th' obvious will we need then?"
Kroova finds himself haveing trouble sleeping but he still keeps jis back to them.
Tovin frowns in thought. "Well...not much actually. I think we've named it all..."
"Not what you're planning on taking..." Skyblaze mutters as he passes. For once, he has some form of food in his paw, though its untouched. He passes a cold glare at Kroova's back as he passes, reducing himself to slinking away.
Kroova is still trying to sleep and has not heard Skyblaze's voice.
Tovin glares at Skyblaze as he passes with the food. "Sorry..." she whispers to Shadowbow as she stands up and begins following Skyblaze.
Shadowbow nods to her before he grimaces and looks back towards sky, and then whispers back, "'S aye't...."
Slain has connected.
Kroova rolls back over so he is faceing them agin.
Skyblaze hangs his head. He could hear Tovin following him, but it wasn't like he actually cared or anything. She was just as annoying as the others.
Slain has disconnected.
Annoying or not, Tovin is starting to get worried about Skyblaze. He's mostly gone, and when he does decide to make an appearance it usually leads to chaos of some sort. Determined to talk to him, she follows.
Shadowbow watches from where he sits, almost wanting to jump up himself, but he trust Tovin to take care of it.
Skyblaze stops for a moment waiting, part of him willing Tovin to say something.
Kroova rolls back over and opens his eye's looking at more trees.
"Skyblaze, stop." Ah. It's an order this time. Not a request. Tovin halts a few paces behind him, glaring at him, daring him to disobey her.
Skyblaze turns around, glaring at Tovin. A small fire seems to have started in his eyes. "What... Did you say to me?" he asks, venom dripping out of his voice.
Tovin meets his gaze, her own just as angered as his is. "I said, stop."
Dontan has arrived.
Shadowbow watches the fight that seems to be breewing between the two, and starts to move to an entry so he can stop the younger if he does try to run off.
Skyblaze doesn't shrink back at all, though he seems to calm a slight bit. He doesn't do anyhing, just watches Tovin to see what she does.
Kroova turns around to somewhat see Skyblaze." Why dont ye grow up Skyblaze.
Tovin ignores both the movement and the speaking. Good, Skyblaze has stopped. Grateful for this, she makes up the distance between them with a few quick strides. "Thank you. Now, talk to me. What's wrong?"
Shadowbow shoots a disheartening look at Kroova over his comment, but doesn't more from his spot yet.
Kroova rolls over and looks at Skyblaze." Why dont ye grow up."
Skyblaze drops his voice so only Tovin can hear. "Why do you care, Tovin? It doesn't matter to you." He glances at Kroova. Twice he's said that, and it was really starting to bug him.
Kroova has disconnected.
Shadowbow almost moves over to his half brother, but then the sea otter leaves, and he has no reason too, so he stays where he is...
Tovin lowers her voice as well. "Of course it does. Why wouldn't it?" Out of the corner of her eye she can see Kroova leave and almost sighs with relief.
Skyblaze wilts a little. "I... I'm scared... A lot... about what's going to happen to me..."
Tovin frowns slightly, sympathetically. "Oh Skyblaze..." She wants to hug him, comfort him, but she isn't exactly sure how. However, right now is probably not the time for indecision.
Kroova has connected.
Skyblaze closes his eyes. "I want Lightsail to come back and tell me what to do. He always knew, and I never had to worry..."
Kroova gets up and looks around the 1st thing he see's is Skyblaze an he lets out a sigh an say's to himself." Great."
Tovin shakes her head and looks down at the ground. This is partially her fault. And probably every adult otter at Camp Willow. "I'm sorry...so sorry. I should've thought about you...." Basically, in the aftermath, it looks as if Skyblaze had been forgotten. Left to live on his own. (Poor guy. XD)
Skyblaze room-pages, "XD I know, i know. I'm a little taller (Like, 4'3") and a senior, so I can get away with like... stuff like that easy. Tis fun.".
Kroova starts to think why he should care about Skyblaze ,Skyblaze has never shown any care to him but deep done in Kroova's heart he is still a big softy so he will always care for Skyblaze.
Skyblaze shakes his head. Do I detect a tear? "No! No, its fine, i can take... I can take care of..." Stupid kid can't even finish his own sentences, and he actually thinks he can take care of himself. Pfft.
Ok. Yes. This has gone far enough. Considering his size, Tovin kneels down and wraps him in a hug that is hopefully as beneficial for him as it is for her.
Kroova just turns his back agin to look at the camp.
Shadowbow watches the two from his distance, with sharp envy, but he supresses the growl he might have put out, and keeps his distance.
Skyblaze completely breaks down just making sobs without tears. He's cried himself dry elsewhere, and can't do it anymore. He calms down, buring his head into her shoulder as he keeps sobbing.
Kroova gets up and looks back not even bothering to a say a word to any of them he starts to make his where to his cabin.
Tovin stays there kneeling, Skyblaze's head on her shoulder, and almost begins crying herself. Well, not so much /crying/ crying, just...well, there's tears threatening.
Shadowbow plops down at the base of a tree, watching, and envying, in some ways, pittying in others,
Kroova shake's his head and say's to himself." What an act."
Skyblaze keeps at it for a long while before settling down a little, having exhausted himself.
Tovin calms now. She's the adult here and probably needs to get the matter settled before things reverse themselves again and take back any ground she might have made here tonight. Pulling back slightly, and still staying at his level, she addresses the problem directly. "Where have you been living since Lightsail died?"
Kroova shakes his head agin and moves a little farther down the road then stops to th to say to himself." I cant belive Tovin's falling for that He gave it ta me an we are back ta where we started."
Dragoon has connected.
Skyblaze pokes his head towards where he'd lived with lightsail, just sort of drifting through the motions now.
Shadowbow watches on...just stitting there for now...
Kroova say's to himself as he keep's walking back to his cabin." Tovin prepair ta by backstabbed by him he is playing ye for a fool."
Tovin blinks and looks over for a few seconds before turning back and asking another question. "Why didn't you tell anyone?!"
Skyblaze shrugs, hanging his head. "Wasn't worth it..."
Dragoon comes out. In his usual mood again. He looks about and nods to the creatures around, but that's pretty much it. The tattooed otter sits down by a tree, cross-legged in his depressed way.
Dontan has disconnected.
Kroova walks right passed Drgoon not saying a word to him as he walk's by.
Dragoon looks up to Kroova and stands up. Maybe he can rid himself of his depression for a while, "Kroova, mate. Where're ye goin'?" he asks.
Hm. Wasn't worth it... Tovin shakes her head. Odd logic. "Well...." What to do....hmmmm. Slowly, she turns to look at Shadowbow and raises both eyebrows. They've already added one member to their party....why not another?
Kroova say's nothing and keep's walking to his cabin.
Dragoon hangs his head, seeing how his seemingly only friend walks away. Seating himself back down, he sighs.
Shadowbow looks at the otter maid with widdening eyes as he's thrown between a rock and a hard spot....they'll need to talk about this before the whole camp is comming with.
Skyblaze closes his eyes, leaning against Tovin again.
Tovin is still waiting. She's just about to answer on her own but she's not sure how well that would go over with Shadowbow...
Shadowbow scrunches his nose before he gives the ottermaid a, 'we'll need to talk about it' look.
Dragoon removes his hat, setting it down next to him. He slumps against the tree, looking out at the three otters before him.
Kroova keeps walking down the raod back to his cabin his head hanging even lower an he is cryig but not load enough for the other's to hear.
Sighing, Tovin nods and turns her attention back to Skyblaze. "Right, well...we're gonna have to find someone for you to live with..." She doesn't want to be mean or anything. He just doesn't seem to be handling things on his own...
Skyblaze shrugs. "Don't care..."
Dragoon hears the last remark and clenches his fists so hard that blood trickles from his paws. He grits his teeth and leans his head against the bark of the tree. He softly hums a sad tune to himself.
Kroova has disconnected.
Shadowbow finally gets up starting over to Tovin and Sky, hoping it's alright to come over himself...
Well, since no one else seems to be clamoring for the privilege of having Skyblaze live with them, and since it was Tovin's idea in the first place, and since....well, since Shadowbow is walking over to them, Tovin makes the inevitable decision. "Um...I guess that would probably end up being me that you would live with. Unless you have someone in mind?"
Skyblaze shrugs. Its not like i'm bored or anything, he just doesn't want to do much else right now! Sorry! Grr! SHOO! beats off SHOO SHOO SHOO!!!
Dragoon keeps humming his tune as he listens in on the conversation between the otters, a tear falling from his eye.
Shadowbow looks at tovin with wide eyes for a moment...and maybe he'd better go get drunk and not remember any of this...
Since the hug has ended long ago, Tovin finds it odd that she's still kneeling. Standing up, she grins apologetically to Shadowbow and shrugs.
Shadowbow looks back at Tovin with a lump in his throat, so he doesnt say anything, and his ears are folded back a little, he's not happy with the turn of events, and he thinks his protests will go unheard so...
Dragoon releases his blood-drenched fists to weep quietly.
Ahhh! Tovin sees the look on Shadowbow's face and is instantly and incredibly sorry she ever did anything. Rushing over to him, she hugs him tightly around the neck. "I'm sorry...I shoulda asked...."
Shadowbow hugs he back, caught off guard again, and almost loosing balance but he doesn't, feeling guilty himself now..."Yeah...." he nuzzles her a little, "I' is your life though..." the second part being significantly softer...but niether of them are loud ether..
Dragoon looks to the two otters with blurring tears. How could he ever have such a....such a gift like what he is seeing? Love....damn, all he feels these days are pain....but he stays at his tree, watching and weeping.
Tovin nods. "I know. It's just..." Ok. She's already explained a number of times why she feels sorry for Skyblaze. "...sorry..."
Shadowbow kisses her on the cheek lightly, "S alrigh...Sometimes i's jus' better ta ignore me..." he brings his head back to look her in the eyes.
Still slightly optimistic about the whole thing, Tovin grins. "Does that mean he can come along?"
Dragoon just watches now, trying to understand.
Shadowbow looks her in the eyes, ears folding back again, "I don' think i's a good Idea ta bring every you beast in camp with us...."
Tovin nods and sighs. "Alright. I understand. I'll find someone to make sure he's taken care of while we're gone..."
Shadowbow looks a little concerned, features softening, he'd been afraid it's come to a fight, "Sorry ta dissapoint ya..."
Tovin shakes her head. "No. You're right. It's going to be hard enough to take Sekeri with us. Skyblaze would probably make things harder."
Shadowbow gently tightens his embrace a little, "I know ya want ta change th' world, bu' sometimes i' needs ta be one beast at a time..."
Tovin is hugged for a few moments longer before she pulls away and nods. "Aye. You're right." Then she grins. "When do you feel like leavin'?"
Shadowbow lets her slip from his embrace, and he grins back, "When th' packs, Sekeri, an' yew 'er all ready..."
Tovin laughs happily. "Wonderful. Then we should be ready to leave by the middle of the week?"
Shadowbow grins, "AS long as we kin get you a rightly sized pack..."
Tovin pokes his arm. "We'd better..." She turns then, and looks extremely surprised to see Dragoon sitting there under the tree. How long has he been there?!
Shadowbow almost goes to return the maids favor, when he follows her gaze, and his brow furrows...
Dragoon sees that the two are looking at him, he whispers, "Great, now ye done it." to himself. Tovin isn't mad. Just surprised. "Ah...hey, Dragoon. How goes it?"
Shadowbow nods a greeting to the swords master before he looks him over, and the bloody paws catch his attention...but he doesn't comment on that yet..
Dragoon kind of fumbles his bloody paws as he hears Tovin, "Uh....fine....I s'pose." though his tone is unsure if what he said is true.
Tovin watches the fumbling and she too sees the bloody paws. Only she isn't as reserved as Shadowbow is about them. "What happened?!"
Dragoon looks at his paws as if seeing the blood for the first time, "Well....I guess I....I'm not sure."
Shadowbow grimaces, "Then perhaps we should get yew t th' healers, an' then find out wha' happened...."
Tovin nods in total agreement with this proposition.
Dragoon sighs, "All right, all right...." he slowly stands up, leaving his hat where it sits. He asks, "Do ye know where I may....find one?"
Shadowbow starts to lead the way, but stops to sweep up the others hat, he's sympathetic of the other, but he kindof doesn't like the feeling of seeing Tovin hugging other grown otters, "The infirmary is a good starting point...."
Dragoon nods to Shadowbow, "Oh...of course." Tovin waits for Shadowbow to lead the way. Shadowbow leaves towards the side grounds.
Shadowbow leaves with: Tovin, Dragoon Shadowbow has left.
Camp Willow: Infirmary-Main Room
Tragin has arrived
Shadowbow walks into the infirmary quietly, holding the door open for the other two as he looks around, still holding Drags hat, since the other prolly doesn't want to cover it in blood, "'Ey Tagrin? Jonaskill?"
Dragoon enters inside, looking at his bloody paws. He doesn't want to reveal that he really knows what happened....he can just have them find out, since they are going to do just that anyway.
What fortunate timing. Tragin was just walking from the recovery room with her paws full of bandages when the front door opened and injured beasts walked in. It's been a long day and she's tired. "ey! Keep it down yeh hear? We got sleepin beasts in here...."
Tovin follows the two inside and waits patiently by the wall. Tragin's an old friend of her family and she can get....weird...when Tovin's around.
Shadowbow nods to the healer, "Sorry...." he lets Dragoon pass, looking over at Tovin for a moment before he looks back at the healer, "He's go' some bleading paws..it'd help if ya could tell us why they're bleedin' too..."
Dragoon walks up to the healer and shows her his paws, "'Ere they are."
Tragin sets the many bandages down haphazardly on a nearby countertop and grabs Dragoon's wrist so as to better examine the paws. "Hmmm....looks like yeh've been diggin' yer claws into yer palms..." She looks up at him. "Any particular reason for that?"
Dragoon frowns, "I....don't know how to....explain."
Shadowbow just waits at the side quietly, with a glance at tovin here an there...
Tovin shrugs and leans against the wall.
Tragin nods and releases Dragoon's wrists. "Weelll, lemme see here...." She crosses the room and opens up a cabinet filled with little jars of ground and whole herbs. "Alkanet.....Arnica....Comfrey? Yeah....Comfrey...." She mutters to herself as she goes through the herbs. After selecting several jars she sets them on the counter and selects a large bowl from several sitting there. A large dash of this here and some other stuff there plus some hot water soon turns itself into a nice poultice...
Dragoon sighs as he looks down at his paws...then says one simply word, "Grief..."
Tragin nods as she grabs a roll of bandages and tucks them into the crook of her elbow. "Yes..yes." She says it subconsciously and grabs Dragoon's wrist again. "This'll hide it but yeh've got to remember /not/ to pull them off. Yer lucky, it'll heal in a week or so. Not fully, but you cen take off the bandages then. There's Arnica in here...twill help with the infections...Alkanet and Comfrey for healing too..." The poultice is hot, but not uncomfortably so and Tragin applies a liberal amount on his paw.
Dragoon hisses as the poultice is applied to his paws.
Tragin ignores it. Quickly, and with practiced skill, she wraps a portion of the bandage around his paw and rips it off, tucking the loose end tightly underneath the other folds. "Other one..." It's a matter of seconds before both paws are nicely bandaged and Tragin is across the room again, abandoning the dirty, empty bowl for some poor assistant healer to clean.
Shadowbow watches, he'll never get how the healers do it but well, he's not a healer...
Dragoon lets the healer do her job.
Tragin crosses back to the center of the room. "Now, yeh just leave them things alone. They'll be fine. Still dunno what you were doin' but I aint gonna ask." She looks pointedly at Dragoon.
Tovin stifles a yawn.
Dragoon kind of grimaces at her words. He looks down at his bandaged paws silently for a moment.
Shadowbow walks over to Tovin, "You want ta leave I wouldn' blame ya, speaking softly so he doesn't interrupt the other two in the room.
Tovin nods. "Thanks. 's been a long day." She walks to the door before giving Shadowbow
Tragin nods and goes back to whatever she was doing before they came in leaving Shadowbow with Dragoon.
Shadowbow looks at the other otter, offering back his hat, "Hey shipmate perhaps yew should be a little more productive in yer grief..."
Dragoon takes his hat from Shadowbow in places in back on his head, "Ne'er ye mind...I work in the sword-trainin' grounds well 'nough..."
