Zoe was born on July 10th just short of 22 seasons ago, to Flor and Sen. Both parents were Long Patrol hares a major and a lieutenant respectively, and she lived with them in Salamandastron until the age of three and a half seasons, at which point they were both killed in an unfortunate battle. After that, she was sent to live with her aunt, uncle and cousins who also lived along the Western Shore, though a couple of days to the north. Here she learned from her aunt, Hannah, the art of fighting as well as the art of healing, to balance the other out. With both, she was an admirable student. Zoe remained with their family for several seasons, until the age of 7. At this young age, she left her home on the shore in favor of the wanderer's life, but she eventually put up anchor in Mossflower - Redwall Abbey, to be specific. There she lived for half a season, where she made various friends - hare and woodlander alike. She was a free-spirited, happy-go-lucky hare, in those days, quick to love and quick to laughter and merriment. However, this happy time was doomed to end.

One unlucky day,, you see, she was captured out on the dirt road - always a dangerous place to roam. This began a dark time during her life, in which she suffered under three different slavers. The first, a slaver for profit, was quick to sell her to a corsair ship, on which she served as an oars beast for quite some time. After that, she wasted away in the insufferable environment of a quarry, until she finally escaped. However, during this period she became pregnant with her first child. She was almost 9 seasons, at the time.

When she realized this state of affairs, she returned home to her aunt and uncle. There she remained for the rest of her pregnancy, and for approximately half a season after her daughter, Keita, was born. At that point, Keit was left in her aunt's care, and Zoe returned to Mossflower, where she soon after joined the Long Patrol.

The next few seasons of her life were a whirlwind of speedy promotions and the frequent wars of the Long Patrol, interspersed with some rather interesting family relationships, including the occasional reapparance of her first daughter, Keita, whom she has a rocky relationship with, at best.

Not too long ago, she became involved in a romantic relationship with Lt. Oxeye of the Long Patrol, and from this relationship a second daughter has come; Miette. While Zoe tries to balance family and duty, she is not always successful, but hopefully a repeat of Keita and Zoe's (lack of a) relationship does not occur. Only time will tell..
