LP Application
Newel's LP Application
Character name (full): Newel Cutler Barton
Species: Male hare, 7 seasons old
Position applying for: Fighter
Character history: Newel was born at the western fringes of Mossflower, on a small farm close to the river but still well concealed in the woods. In his earlier seasons he grew up leading a fairly simple and easy-going life at home. In addition, he had heard of the Long Patrol, its tales of action and bravery and so on, and as a result being a part of the Long Patrol is something he has yearned for almost as long as he can remember. Eager to be free of the relatively dull life on the farm, he left his family on his own little quest to find the famed mountain and make his dreams come true.
Character Synopsis: Typical of most hares, Newel has quite the appetite. While joining the LP is his greatest wish, he goes about it a little nervously at times. In fact, anxious is one word that could describe this hare, while at other times he can be outgoing or joking around with others. He likes food of course, playing simple games he grew up with on the farm, etc. And while he may not show very much confidence in his fighting skills as of yet, perhaps with time that will wax stronger.
OOC information:
I've been on the muck a while now, and just made this character. I will do my best to meet the logging requirements, though I do admit that school might get in the way of that. We'll see.
Roleplay
Scenario: Newel sweeps the hallway, his expression sour (in a sort of comical way) as he grumbles about the task. He can be heard muttering under his breath, "Blasted chores..'ooever heard of a Long Patrol 'are sweepin a bloody hallway? Th tales never said a bally word at all about this. Unfair, I say! Unfair!"
Battle Scenario: Newel sees the searat coming, sidestepping safely out of the way of the vermin's attack while lunging a powerful kick to the middle.
Basic Muck Commands and Definitions
IC: In character. Typically refers to the words and actions of the characters themselves pertaining to the role-play.
OOC: Out of character. Basically anything outside the role-play, and generally refers to things done by the players of the characters, not the characters themselves.
Say command and room-page: The say command is a basic IC command for your character in posing (Unless their status is OOC of course). Room-pages are essentially the same except that they are almost universally used on the muck in speaking out of character, as the character's player.
Twink: A twink is a pose that forces another character to do something that they or their player may not necessarily agree with. This probably most commonly occurs in fights, with poses such as "So-and-so chops off so-and-so's head." This is typically not accepted on the muck, except when the twinking player has the permission of the receiving party.
