Introduction

I have chosen to write this history for a variety of reasons. One reason is to present the facts about my life while they still stand fresh in my mind. Let me make clear, however, that this text was not written for drawing attention and sympathy from other beasts to me by relating various misfortunes that have taken place in my life, or to weigh others down by adding my problems to theirs. Rather, my intent is to give hope to those who suffer from their present troubles, whatever they may be. I will not attempt to compare my own problems to others. I have many things to be happy about; more, in my opinion, than things to be sad about. I have learned many profound truths in struggling with my problems. Several of them are the reason I am the beast I am, really. My hope is that the reader(s) who struggle(s) with the ills of life will still find happiness. Discarding the negative and focusing on the positive has done wonders for me in my life, and I hope that it will in some way do the same for you. I wish you the best in your endeavors to search out the good in your own life, and hope at least some of my words will offer some encouragement in that.
