The middle dormitory is composed of a large hallway that is lined with brass lined doors that lead to many obvious places. The infirmary being one of the mosthectic places in the abbey always has beasts rushing in and out of that area. The bunkroom for visitors is almost as equally hectic. The northern and southern ward are set into dormitories for the male and female abbey beast that have not yet earned their own dormitory on the lower floor.

Katya walks down the hallway, quietly, seeming to be exploring the abbey. She comes to the corridor then sees Ragorn. With a start, she runs down the hallway to a point, before pausing and looking back, obviously frightened.

Ragorn steps out from the shadows. "Hello little one...and where are we going?" He tries to make his grating voice as friendly as possible.

Chinsey enters the hallway, then sees Katya. With a nasty expression on her face, she chases her, laughing a nasty laugh: "Yee-hee-hee-hee-hee-hee-hee!" Katya looks up at Ragorn, then stumbles back seeing Chinsey, heading back towards the otter. At least he is not chasing her.

Ragorn's single eye narrows, sighting the rat chasing the small badger. Without a moment's hesitation, he fires off several small knives at the rat.

Chinsey sees Ragorn. She screams at seeing the frightening-looking otter. "Aaahh!" she screams, "Don't kill me! Spare me!"

Katya hides behind Ragorn, only saying a quick, "Gettit."

Chinsey continues to try to convince the otter to spare her. "Please, please, please spare me, sir!" she says, "What reason d'y'have t' kill me? Mercy!"

Ragorn smiles evilly at the rat "What's a creature such as you doing in the abbey?" I need no reason to kill a vermin, so you better speak up quick before I aim a dagger with the intent to kill instead of to distract ye..."

Chinsey appears to be very, very nervous, attempting to come up with a reason to be spared. "Umm... I'm not tryin' t' cause you any harm. You'll spare me if y' have any mercy at all! Mercy!"

Katya looks at the rat with a curious glance, not really moving other than that.

Ragorn single eye narrows further and his voice becomes harsh and grating as it was now naturally. "I'll spare ye for that sake of the abbey beasts...they don't want bloodshed here....if we'd met outside you'd be dead before ye'd even spoken...count yourself luck today rat..."

Chinsey is enormously relieved, and quite visibly, too. "Oh, thank you, sir!" she says, running away from the otter, "I promise I don' mean y' any trouble, an' I don' intend t' 'ave any problems with y later!"

Katya sighs taking a small step away from the otter as the rat goes off. Then she looks up at Ragorn, still seeming a little nervous.

Ragorn attemps what would be a wink at the small badger but as he has only one eye it is more like a blink. "Where are y' family youngster?"

Katya thinks for a moment and shrugs. "Caspia, took me here." She looks down the hallway more to assure herself that the rat is not coming back. "Who's you?"

Ragorn nods. "I am Ragorn the slayer....of the Holt Lathern...I hunt and kill vermin for pay...or sometimes just pleasure...seems you have no family youngster... we're the same... I have a brother still in this world... he's all that's left of my family."
