Aclidia's OOC Policies

Guidelines for roleplaying in Aclidia.

Most rules lists of groups here on the MUCK are superfluous. If you go beyond a "G" rating, you're not just breaking a group's rules, you're breaking MUCK rules and are subject to removal from the game. The following, therefore, are not strict "rules" in that sense, but guidelines we have devised to make roleplay more effective within the city. They're primarily for the benefit of the members, so it's in your interest to follow them. If you have a good reason for being unable to meet some of them, please contact one of the four leaders. Groundless refusal to follow group policies may result in suspension of membership and OOC banishment from the city.

Slavery Policies

  1. All citizens must have at least one slave, either a player-character or a zombie. Both player and zombie slaves can be purchased from individual players or at auctions. For the latter, keep an eye on the MOTD and on your E-mail if you have chosen to receive messages from the group. Wealthy citizens may have multiple slaves, but these can be spoofed in RP, if the player wishes. If you need an exemption from the one-slave policy, send your request to the leadership, explaning why your character does not need a slave.
  2. All slaves must have a master, which need not be an actual player. If you cannot find a suitable OOC situation with a player, your master can be a zombie. If you do not know how to set up a zombie, consult the How-To articles here on the MUCK website or ask one of the group leaders. If you wish to play an escaped slave at large in the city, please talk to a leader first.
  3. If you are a slave, and your master does not connect and roleplay with you for more than two weeks, you are allowed to seek another master. Likewise, if a master loses his or her slave because of a period of inactivity, he or she must get a new one after becoming active again. If a master or slave must go for more than two weeks because of RL issues, they must inform their roleplaying partner (the master the slave, or vice versa) and one of the leaders.

Group Interaction

  1. To set up a TP that could involve or cause large-scale interaction between Aclidia and another group, first contact one of Aclidia's leaders.

Woodlanders

  1. Free woodlanders may not roam Aclidia. Good vermin will not be stopped at the gates, but will most likely meet with IC trouble. If you would like to TP an exception to these rules, page #mail or E-mail Aclidia.
